Michael Floyd, Zac Stacy Available for Trade

Any interest? Maybe offer #96 for Floyd, maybe a 5th or 6th for Stacy.

He did average 18 yards per catch. Would have to do some research, but that number stands out.

No thanks. Zach Stacy isn't even a JAG, and Floyd is no better than what we already have.

Don't think out wide out core is all that bad right now tbh. Maybe try to snatch up one more vet. I've kinda given up on developing young wide outs here.

Michael Floyd would be pretty good here and represents a different skill-set to what is here and is proven to be what we HOPE Dobson could be......my question is why would the Cards be trading him???

I'd gladly trade for him maybe they could pull it off for a 2016 3rd preferably.....besides if the front office was secure in our receiving corps they wouldn't have inquired about Stevie Johnson's services and been linked to be interested in a few others in FA

Three words:

Trust the hoodie. ;)

maybe the bucs want to let go of verner later in the year...we can fleece them again.

No. I want a cornerback. We don't need pass catchers. We need guys who stop them.

No thanks on Stacy, he's a JAG. Floyd is intriguing.

Not claiming he's the next Walter Payton but he had 969 yards in 12 games as a starter in 2013 against mostly stacked lines, Kellen Clemons as his QB and a bad OL. He's better than you say he is. Patriots don't have anyone at RB too far above JAG level anyway, I'm sure they'll add to the RB's this weekend one way or another.

He hasn't managed to get over 3.9 yards a carry ever, in his career. Blount, Bolden and Gray all have career avgs of 4.6 yards a carry.

Different circumstances. He was often running against 8,9 in the box, with a bad Oline and a bad QB. Blount has only averaged 4.1 since 2011 when not with the Patriots, neither Gray or Bolden have had more than 89 carries in a season.

Getting one position doesn't prevent getting the other.
Agreed. But if getting another pass catcher prevents us from getting a corner, I'll be justifiably displeased. Scoring through the air is our strength with the guys we have. Most OC in the NFL would sell their souls for a crew comprised of Lafell, Edelman, Amendola, Gronkowski, Chandler and the others. Most DC would sell their souls to have their offense throw against a crew comprised of Ryan, Dennard, Arrington, Harmon and the others. Butler, hopefully, will continue to grow and McCourty is fine. But, losing Browner and Revis was huge. We need corners.

I agree we need corners, just don't know where any significant improvement is going to come from.

I don't know enough about Floysd But wrt to Stacy: Any guy who says "I'm not happy with my reps, so I want outta here" is a really bad fit for a BB coached team.

I've watched every Rams game the last 3 seasons. Stacy is putrid and shouldn't be in the league. He's a bad football player and throwing a hissy fit like hes important rather than a fringe player means he's almost certainly played his last NFL snap.

Floyd's a disappointment as anything more than a one dimensional deep threat but he would add something the Patriots don't have. I'd be tempted to give up a later pick depending on how the draft falls.

Yes, BB's refusal to sign Blount after he walked out on the Steelers is proof of this, oh wait...

I would looooove Floyd. But the biggest problem with him is his contract. The $1.7M this year is awesome, but I wouldn't want to pay $7.3M for him in 2016... that's about Lafell and Edelman $$ combined, I believe.
