Rowe, Marpet, Clemmings, Duke and David Johnson,Mike Davis, Tre McBride are a several players I'd love to hear to tonight or tomorrow for the Pats.
I'm with you on those names, let me add Ameer Abdullah, Sammy Coates, PJ Williams, AJ Cann, Devin Funchess, Rashad Greene, Eric Kendricks, Tevin Coleman, Quieten Rollins,

Trade up for a 2nd round pick. Take 2 guards.

Get a RB or CB in the 3rd.

In regards to WR, I'm fine if they don't take one. I think Dobson warrants ONE more year. He looked great as a rookie + in pre-season last year. If they do grab one, I really like Devin Funchess or Justin Hardy

I admit I'm not that familiar with the remaining CB's, but if there is anyone that can improve our secondary, I would be all for drafting one as I think it's one of our two biggest question marks as of now.
What position or positions do you want to address tonight?

Offensive Line-
My theory on the secondary is it is all about how fast your front seven can get to the QB. If your front seven gives the opposing QB 3 seconds to throw then you will need an awesome secondary that can cover longer and more complex routes. If your front seven can put enormous pressure on the opposing QB then your secondary doesn't have to be necessarily filled with shut down corners. Right now it looks as though the Pats have beefed up their front 7 considerably which might take pressure off of the CB's. If I were going to guess I would say our defense looks like a top 15 type defense right now with the potential of creating turnovers/sacks up front. I would like to see an Offensive line move next. Tom Brady and crew had a good thing going in the end of last year and those same key players are coming back with the exception of Vereen and the addition of Chandler (which could turn out to being a huge signing) so beefing up the offensive line depth might help our defense by extending drives throughout the game and keeping them fresh for the 4th quarter.

the formula BB seems to be using is the same as the two giants teams that won the SB - great front 7, average secondary. there's more than 1 way to skin a cat.

The police didn't speak to Collins when this first started (Saturday). They spoke to his agent and family. Collins, who was reportedly in Chicago at the time, then got in touch with his attorney before contacting the police (no later than Tuesday). How is that a bad way to go?

From a criminal justice standpoint--it's definitely not a bad way to go. From a "leaving lots of money on the table" standpoint, I think it was a terrible decision. If he really wasn't a suspect, then he should have verified that within the past 5 days as the draft approached, so that teams felt comfortable enough to select him.

As others have noted, sitting out until next year isn't going to do much for his stock.

We may have a difference of opinions on this one, but I think it was handled in an odd fashion, when you take into account everything that was on the table, which is a once in a lifetime opportunity that he'll likely never see again. If I truly wasn't guilty of anything, then I'd have immediately dropped what I was doing and flew back to deal with the issue at hand.

I'm looking for offensive line picks. I'll leave it to BB to pick who they are but keeping Brady upright is the key especially with the front 7's they are going to face this next season. Give Brady enough time to throw to a returning, experienced receiving corp with and additional weapon in TE Chandler and that could lead to extended drives throughout the game. Extended drives leads to keeping your defense fresh and right now (knock on wood) the Pats defense is looking pretty good. Gino, Tannehill and Cassel might throw us a few under pressure.

Well, I think the draft is a crapshoot and anyone who "knows" is just showing how little they actually do.

Hoping for OL tonight. I just like the percentages BB has finding OL. I trust him as a whole - but especially on the lines. So, that's what I am hoping for.

And this year the opponents we are going to face are not as strong as last year passing wise

I think the Collins situation is ideal. I hate to try and come out aces on such a sensitive issue, but if he's available in the third, then I'd go for it. Our success rate in the third isn't exactly stellar. If everything turns out okay in Collins' defense, then we just blew this draft up.

I hope we draft a CB that becomes our Richard Sherman

Or, for that matter, a Colt. :)

Even without looking into every single year, "except for last season" is one hell of an exception. Furthermore, the signings this year have been of players who didn't get it done last year.
So every year of Fletcher's career was as bad as the one he had last year, and no player who ever had a bad year ever played decently again. And Checkwa's issues have mostly been due to injuries, and you are telling me that no player who has ever had injury problems ever was healthy again.

Here's the deal. Players do get better and healthier and players as groups CAN play better as groups than they can as individual parts. And just as its likely that the individual talent at CB won't be as good without Revis, it might end up being better at DE, DT, LB and S.

Remember I'm not saying we shouldn't go out and try and improve at CB, OG, etc We should. But we should also remember that much of that "youngest team" to win a suprbowl is coming back. All isn't lost because one CB isn't going to be there

Not D. Thomas good thing we won the superbowl or I'd still have flashbacks of him burning Dennard
Everybody has bad games or or players they have a difficult time with. And besides i never said he was the second coming of Revis. But in 2013 people here were raving about how good he was.

And theres always the option of picking up a CB later on. If people remember Tyrone Poole was picked up off the scrap heap in 03. I believe he was the starting CB that year and in the Super Bowl. I know i don't have to tell you that if you have a good enough front seven it can cover the weakness at DB.

Only if you add a good quality Safety corp to the reinforced Front 7 would I agree with this. I'd like to see Ryan added to the Safety corp and still add a decent, high ceiling CB. We may draft a Safety and keep Ryan where he is.

would anyone here want the pats to take a chance with lae'l collins tonight? if we take him, and he's cleared, then it would he the steal of the draft.

What group did we have since 2009 was better than what we have this year, except for last season. Some of those teams had almost HISTORICALLY bad pass defense stats including the superbowl 2011 team. People,, always over exaggerate the problems a team has. If a position isn't filled by a future HOFer, the guy who man's it is a bum (Hyperbole but.....)

So here's the question. Of the last 5 secondaries before last season, which was had more talent than the one we have so far on this year's roster

Simply by virtue of having Talib, 2013 would probably be better. I totally agree with your main point, though, that people regularly exaggerate problems, as well as the fact the 2011 demonstrates that the team can cobble together success with less than stellar personnel. Even more so when you consider that Wilfork was probably the only go on the playoff roster (edit: defensive side of the ball, of course) who will likely outperform his 2015 counterpart.

Well you could say that for most corners in the league.
