Just read the first draft grade piece I've seen, and some idiot gave the Colts an A- for picking Dorsett. LMAO
I read another one that gave the Colts an F.

Love it when the BPA also addresses a need. Definitely seems like a more complete player than what I've seen from Randy Gregory.

I 100% agree that it was a ridiculous pick by the Colts, and I hope they have the ball shoved down their throat all season now.
"Look at our amazing receivers!!! You'll never beat us!!!! ... Oops, we can't hardly get them on the field because we can't stop the run worth a damn."

Listening to people about what they think are this kid's negatives is actually very encouraging. Technique and fitness are both fixable issues. Those are the negatives, across the board. I'm not hearing about tightness and the like as canaries in the coal mine.*

*Those who remember previous drafts know what I mean.

Most mind-numbing move: Jets drafting Williams despite already boasting outstanding D-linemen, Colts drafting Dorsett to be their 5th WR, or Elway sending 2 fifths and one of his best O-linemen for a falling DE?

Who needs the NFL to punish these teams when they can punish themselves.

The Colts and Broncos failed so hard tonight I'm not sure who I would take in a head to head vs Jets.

A combination of Wilkerson, Richardson, Williams, Harrison on the DL with Revis taking out the #1 WR. Peyton doesn't have the arm strength and Luck doesn't have the patience.

I'm surprised the Jets pick is getting panned. They got arguably the best player in the draft, they'll get him on the field. They essentially never have to blitz to get pressure and they actually have a secondary now.

Draft Winners:

Jets
Browns (strange..)
Pats

Draft Losers:

Colts
Broncos
Ravens

You know it was a great first round when the Jets, Colts AND Broncos fans are all left scratching their heads.

My quick Round 2 horizontal board.

QB - Petty
RB - Coleman, Abdullah, Yeldon and Duke Johnson
TE - Williams
WR - Strong, D. Smith, DGB and S. Coates
OL - Fisher, Cann, Grasu, Clemmings and Donovan Smith

DE - P. Smith, M. Edwards and O. Odighizuwa
DT - Goldman, Phillips, Jarrett, Bennett
LB - Gregory, McKinney, Kendricks, Perryman, Harrold
CB - PJ Williams, J. Collins, R. Darby and E. Rowe
S - L. Collins

I'll add 31 3rd round picks before we go 96 and 97. I made 3 changes to my original 2nd round. Added; Odighizuwa, Clemmings and Harrold. Dropped; Tre Jackson, Carl Davis and Paul Dawson. My bad. For Manx. Terron Armstead tested off the charts and is having trouble adjusting to the NFL. He went in 3rd. Too big a jump for Marpet to pick in 2nd.

QB - B. Hundley
RB - J. Ajayi, David Johnson and M. Davis
WR - D. Funchess, T. Lockett, R. Greene, C. Conley and T. McBride
TE - C. Walford
OL - A. Marpet, A. Gallik, R. Dismukes, D. Williams, T. Jackson, A. Kouandijo

DE - D. Hunter, N. Orchard, T. Flowers
DT - C. Davis, H. Anderson
LB - P. Dawson, R. Wilson, T. Jones, H. Kikaha
CB - J. Shaw, S. Nelson, DJoun Smith, Q. Rollins
S - A. Amos, I. Campbell

I like the pick, but the last time the Patriots took a defensive lineman from the University of Texas in the first round (1981), he was a disappointment.

The pick, itself, is a great one for the Jets.

The thing about it is that it's a bit redundant. If you're going 3-4, you've got Richardson, Harrison and Wilkerson. If you go 4-3, you slide Coples to the end of the line. The pick makes all the sense in the world from a talent perspective, but not so much from a personnel/need perspective.

Denver is looking as if they'll be very light on the outside.

Wait til we draft Shaq Riddick on Saturday. People are gonna want to know what the heck an arid duck is.

I hope we don't take a Florida U kicker

It's definitely overkill, but for some reason I'd like it if I were a Jets fan. It does seem like a talented player will be on the bench often though.
