Same place as ever: ask the quick interior penetrator who can play some DE. Or to put it another way, they now have a deep and versatile group of big men.

I agree with Hatcheck, this front 7 has potential to be nasty

Is Brown both a good pass rusher and run stuffer? Maybe a good player comparison would be nice.

I know this is Massachusetts, but I vote for the death penalty.

Wee bit harsh. I'm thinking a Twitter and social media ban for 2 weeks.

Michael bennett of o su or Grady jarrett would have been cheaper. This guy has short arms. Ok pick just not gteat.
Cheaper? Not sure if serious.

Whatever the Patriots did it's deception and it needs to stop. Competition committee will have an emergency meeting tonight after the pick.
I'm sure the league will look into it.

Decent cheering for the Pats from the crowd there. No boos that weren't aimed at Goodell like all the other picks.

I like Chicago, lets hold the draft there every year
I loved the absolutely merciless booing of Goodell whenever he came out.

Siliga is attempting to return from a pretty serious offseason surgery, and Easley is still very much of an unknown, so this position was still very much a need for us in my opinion.

If/when they come together, this DL unit could be pretty good. At least they got younger, and hopefully replaced some of the loss of Wilfork.
For sure. If everyone heals up and hits their potential it'll be a great crew.

All jokes aside, really liking the selection of Brown. It's not one of those spectacular amazing picks but it's a super solid pick and it fills a big need.

I would love if the team were somehow able to get Eric Rowe tomorrow night, but I like the Florida State boys too. Not sure on Jalen Collins, but he has pretty good athleticism.

Still hoping for that later-round La'el Collins draft-n-stash.

I also would not mind a trade up tomorrow to get someone like A.J. Cann. :)

I'm guessing that the Pats had a trade with BOB, thinking that a team that they have run wild over for the last two years wouldn't pass on a run stuffing DT.

Of course once they did, BB called BOB back and In his best Gilda Radner voice said Nevermind

Good pick, #12 off Kipers big board at #32

The best thing about the draft tonight is Bob Kravitz is having a conniption fit on Twitter:

Everybody is reporting it's Miami WR Phillip Dorsett. I flat-out don't get it. Just don't. He better be good is all I can say.

For a team that claims to be "all in'' this year, I don't get the Dorsett pick when so many defensive guys were available.

This is a reach, a big-time reach. Or so it seems, at least if you read the draft publications. I'm sure we'll hear "best player available.'

You've got Hilton, Johnson, Moncrief, Carter...how does this close the gap between Colts and Pats?

I'm thinking Chuck Pagano, a defensive guy, is gonna go home and have himself a really stiff drink.

I'm all for best player available and all, but the Colts need another WR like I need another 10 pounds around my midsection.

This whole Pats trading down that was reported as fact was in fact untrue. It is embarrasing and should lead to some sort of punishment for those who reported it. It's time to stop using the dog eats dog excuse for bad journalism.

My .02 anyways

How do you know it was untrue?

There are other reports that it was a done deal with a caveat for the Pats to get out of if Brown was still available at 32.
