Talking about Jimmy G, which are the teams in need of a QB for a trade for their 1st?

Cowboys ?
Manziel to the Jets is guaranteed to happen eventually. Remember Woody doesn't care about winning, just big headlines and comoshon.

Another downside to shooting for that "top QB" every year is you never have the steady QB you need to evaluate and develop the rest of your offensive roster.

When you develop QBs, not only do you have more "talent" around him, but that talent is (a) experienced in running your system correctly and (b) better placed in position to succeed.

Since Tom Brady became a starter, the poor Browns have drafted three QBs in the first round, and three more in the third round that are recognizable names (Charlie Frye, Luke McCown, and Colt McCoy)

If they have their eyes on a QB, it should signal to the rest of the league to go nowhere near him.

I don't know a whole lot about trade politics, but 12+19 does NOT seem like enough to snag 2. I like Mariota, though.

It effectively got #3 for Dion Jordan. They might need to throw in something else (a 2nd next year or something) but it's the best the Titans are going to get, unless the Chargers are serious about trading Rivers.

Dallas could be all over this if available. Jerry jones almost drafted him at 15 or 16.
And for dark horse team the donkeys

Someone is going to overpay and draft a QB that has no business going in the Top 15. It seems to happen all the time. When was the last time a trade up to the top of the 1st for a QB worked out?

These two QBs are about as weak of a QB class as they come. I'm amazed that they are about to go 1-2. I hope the jets give up a ton to move up - it will allow them to continue their streak of mediocre or worse QB play. There are much better players in this draft than Winston and Mariota.

RGIII was working out fine until he hurt his knee.

I wouldn't agree that the Jets can't match that offer. I think #6 + Muhammad Wilkerson would be a great starting point for a trade. The Titans could get a stud DL and still get a great player at #6 (plus anything else the Jets would have to give up).
How about Revis and their #6? Wouldn't it be nice to see him shipped to Cleveland?

You are free to think that. I believe his first year was the product of a dominant running game and read option offense that no one had seen before. I've seen almost every Redskins game the last 3 years. People are overblowing his injury. He was shaky in the pocket his first year too. Take away Morris tearing it up 5 yards every time he touched the ball and everyone having a year to look at film and defend the read option, and you have what you have - a QB that had no business being drafted where he was. He played in a gimmicky college offense and has poor NFL QB traits. I think the last 2 years are actually more representative of Griffin, not his first year. It's ok to blame an injury for his performance, but I think his regression would have happened anyways.

Good analogy though. Mariota seems like a Griffin redux to me.

@AdamSchefter: Here we go: Titans have gotten calls from multiple teams inquiring about what it will take to trade for 2nd overall pick, per league source.

Keep doing what you do Browns, somebody need to
