It appears as if the Bears don't want him anyway. (LOL)

I would absolutely do it but if the Pats think they can get him for late round pick and that he wont get suspended again then I doubt Jax will trade him. Guy was electric when he actually played

It also seems from the JAC GM's statement that if he is reinstated they have no interest in trading him

Would you roll the dice on Justin Blackmon ?

The Patriots have a history of rolling the dice on high risk and high reward players.

Rotoworld is reporting that the Jags have moved on from Justin Blackmon who needs to apply for reinstatement after missing 2014.

Reports have Blackmon spending a lot of time in rehab and if reports are correct he should qualify for reinstatement.

Blackmon is a former top 5 pick who has a ton of talent and nobody has ever questioned his on field commitment. He has been called a jerk off the field, but didn't Corey Dillon & Randy Moss also have questionable pasts?

If Belichick was willing to roll the dice on Albert Haynesworth, why wouldn't he give Blackmon a shot, if the price was right?

No, no, no, no, no ,no ,no and NO

You know my thoughts on the WR position. If Blackmon's sober and willing to make some assurances, I'd be all over the idea of the Patriots making a move for him.
I've been a vocal supporter of bringing Blackmon in assuming the points you make in your post are met. Undeniable talent and potential reclamation project. Sounds awfully similar to Randy Moss (albeit, nobody can replicate what Moss did).

No. 2001 without Glenn. 2014 without AH. NE has proven in the past (very recent past) that it can win without a malcontent / murderous WR.

I watch next to no college football, but I do remember seeing Justin Blackmon in his final bowl game, whatever it was. I came away from that game thinking this is the highly touted Blackmon? He wasn't even close to being the best receiver on the field that day, imo. His NFL production didn't surprise me at all.

If he's a free agent and will take the minimum, sure why not. Not worth giving up anything though.

I'd happily give up a late rounder, assuming that he's even reinstated, of course. It's one of those low risk/high reward type of possibilities, and we really could use a WR with that kind of potential.
