Sign the Beast LXI: TE Colt Lyerla looking for one last chance...

I was good on Lyerla last year when we didn't have a second capable TE. I'm good on him this year now that we have Chandler. Way too much of a headcase, and I'm a guy who usually recommends talented headcases (see Marcus Peters).

minimum salary..give him a shot in camp.

if he kills anyone, just cut him!

I don't want him, but the statement and his ability seems compelling enough that I'd support him being signed elsewhere.

Assign a chaperone(s) to watch him, like Cowboys did with Dez Bryant

(kinda pathetic that a grown man would need a babysitter, but whatever)

I remember the Packers hyping him up, could be the best tight end ever or in that draft. I can't remember. Apparently he has the physical gifts.

The statement is what bothers me. "A lot of bad mistakes were made in the past." Where's the "I" or "me" in that sentence? Clown can't take responsibility for his actions when it would do him a world of good to do so.

Who?, why?

Seriously, though...

he was name dropping chip Kelly. But that is a bad move IMHO, because it just points out to 31 teams: 'if your old coach (who knows you best and is NOW a NFL HC) ain't bringing you in for a tryout, we would be crazy to touch you'

How is he not already a Bronco?

Somethings transcend football and his comments about Newtown are unforgivable. I don't want him anywhere near this team.

Why is that unforgivable? It was a stupid opinion he formed, probably after watching a few conspiracy videos on youtube. I'd be infinitely more concerned with someone who physically attacked someone else, as plenty of NFL players have.

No thanks. After getting a shot at the NFL the first thing he does is get a DUI. He has no sense and no self control.
You can't trust an addict.

For me from the perspective of those parents to have somebody voice that what happened to their children was a hoax is unforgivable. As I said to me it transcends football and has nothing to do with concern over how they might fit in or do something again.

You didn't answer my question, you just restated your position.

He voiced a stupid opinion which he likely rushed into and didn't bother to do any research on, and later apologized for, what sense does it make to decide he's unforgivable when Belichick has hired guys who have PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED people?

While very stupid that was also many months ago, has he cleaned up his act since then?
