I've got to agree that Peters doesn't fit BB's mindset at 32. BB doesn't really gamble with first round picks. They are generally players he is confident will be starters for him very early, and usually have the makings of team captaincy (McCourty, Hightower, Solder, Jones, Mayo, Wilfork, Mankins). Easley was maybe his biggest first round gamble in 15 years, and even so the guy's intangibles are through the roof--if he gets healthy he projects as the keystone of the DL. Guys like Moroney, Meriweather and Watson, who didn't get a 2nd contract, are the "busts" of the first round...but even so they were all starters for us in their time.
Does Peters meet that bar? I think he's far less certain than any of the rest of BBs first rounders.
When BB does take a risk he waits until the 2nd for high ceiling gambles like Collins, Gronkowski, who are no slouches. Using those two as a model, I think Peters becomes interesting for BB in the mid-2nd.
