The Patriots have been to more Super Bowls than any other team since Spygate.
The only team with more Super Bowl victories than the Pats since Spygate is the Giants.

After 8 years of 'no rings since Spygate' BS we should all enjoy this.

The problem is that unless we get the full exoneration we deserve we will never hear the end of lies about how the Pats have been playing with tampered footballs for the past 7 years. Because that's what people are already saying. And soon it will become a 'fact', just as people's understanding about CameraGate went from the Pats illegally filming signals on the sidelines for a single game in 2007 to the 'fact' that we've been filming practices and walkthroughs since 2000.

It's just infuriating. Just as our team's reputation was finally beginning to recover from the slanderous accusations brought on by CameraGate and all the damaging lies that came after it and the nation's football fans as a whole were beginning to warm up to the team and to Brady in particular THIS s**t happens and it's all undone. Mike Kensil and anyone else involved in this is a truly selfish man. F**k him. He's the single most damaging enemy to a sports franchise that doesn't involve some South American drug cartel.

Just enjoy it man. At this point its all you can do. I've learned over the past 7 years there is nothing you or I can say that will change any of the haters minds. Trust me, if it wasn't deflated footballs or spying they'd just make up something like Ernie having a photographic memory or Kraft paying the refs. I've learned no matter how many actual facts you spout off to the haters they won't believe a word and say its made up.

So now, I just enjoy this time as much as I can because no matter how much they hate us, they can never take away what this team as accomplished in the past 15 years or the pride that I feel in this team.

The hate for this team was subsiding nation wide. Sure you'd see it in the comments of any Pro Football Talk article by trolls looking to have some fun but that was most of it. But people were slowly coming to realize that Spygate wasn't a big deal after all. 7 years changed a lot about people's perception about this team because of how dominate we remained over those 7 years. It became clear to the most dimwitted of individuals (except Steelers fans because they are a special breed of dumb) that we won 3 Super Bowls because we were really that f**king good. And now that's all gone because the haters can now just say that we've been cheating in a different way ever since we got caught doing it our old way.

And if you want to look at it just within the lens of this season the Patriots having that decisive turnaround after week 4 had become a kind of inspiring story for even non Patriots fans. But now they are thinking "whoops, turns out they cheated so it was all worthless. Silly us for starting to like them."

I work on the oil field with fans from all over the country. Ttying to have a rational discussion with these haters is a waste of time. I just mock them...

"They cheat...they run up the score. They cheat...they run up the score."

That works great for me. It shows them how petty and jeallous they really are...especially the "run up the score" part. It really minimalizes their stance. That's a really ****y thing to say...especially for pro athletes.

I get where you're coming from, and I agree it does suck to have to listen to dumbasses bash your team and try to take away our accomplishments, but aside from getting angry there's not much we can do about it except enjoy the wins. Its not like we're all of a sudden going to convince the haters that they're wrong even if science proves the fact.

For example, lets say Wells comes back and says that the Colts were responsible for the deflated football and it was all a setup. What is a hater going to say then? Probably something along the lines of 'Goodell forced Wells to come to that conclusion to protect his buddy Kraft'. Its the same thing with Spygate, the haters now say that Goodell destroyed the tapes to protect his buddy Kraft. No matter what you or I or anyone says, the haters will never be convinced otherwise.

The only way to refute their allegations at this point is to just keep winning. Nothing we say or do will change their minds. For myself, I'm just going to enjoy every win and hope we keep winning.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I'm too tired to keep trying to convince the haters. I'd rather just enjoy our golden age because at the end of the day, nothing is going to change what this team has accomplished and our golden age isn't going to last forever. Might as well enjoy every second of it while we can.

Maybe this golden age will last forever. All of the haters know BB is a master cheater. I don't see why he can't cheat death and keep this thing going lol.

Haters are going to hate.. not much you can do about that.

Most folks I know across the country, admit they are jealous of our success...

I say this in the nicest possible way because I enjoy your posts for the most part, but it might help if you got a life. I really don't give a **** about the report anymore. I decided I was going to fly high off of the Super Bowl victory and then enjoy my summer, and I've done just that. People, as a whole, are very, very stupid creatures who care not a lick for facts. So what comes out in that report isn't going to matter. Haters are still going to hate. I'd recommend you take the same path. The Patriots won the Super Bowl. The haters can go suck a ****.

Well that's one way to look at it I guess.

We are due for a down year this year.

After last years title, I'm just going to relax and enjoy this year with no expectations.

From all accounts so far Brady sure as hell isn't expecting that we are "due" for a down year.

What a strange statement to make. What leads you to this conclusion? The draft has not taken place and the season is still roughly 5 months away.

The law of averages mostly.
3 superbowls in 8 years. at some point the patriots are going to slip a little. just like when the dolphins snuck in a few years back. I'm not saying the pats are going to tank, but a 9 win season and just missing the playoffs isn't an absurd prediction.

I believe Belichick and Brady have one more Super Bowl appearance in them before one of them retires..... in the meantime, I'm gonna sit back, support my team, and enjoy football!!!

If your version of "down" means not winning the SB, that's one thing, but I think we'd all be shocked with a 9 win season, barring the usual yearly concern for catastrophic injury.

The schedule is probably the easiest it's been since Belichick/Brady started working together. I'd think anything less than 11-5 would be an epic failure, at least under normal circumstances.
