Tony Romo mocking the Patriots? TONY "NO-MO" ROMO????

Speaking of deflate gate... it has now been 92 days, mo money, mo money for Wells..

Thought the opportune time to publish the results was when AH was found guilty, guess they are waiting for a bigger distraction..

No way they are going to let anything overshadow their schedule release, then next week's draft. It's a positive PR period for the NFL right now, they aren't going to risk that.

Just my opinion and I hope I'm wrong--because I want this to be over just as much as anyone, but I think the 2016 draft punishment of the Falcons kind of hinted that it may not be done in time.

I'll agree with you about the satisfaction. Not sure how many haters it shut up. But, as I've readily admitted before, the cheating stuff is a real sore subject with me. I wish it weren't, but...

I am with you, @Jackson2. One fantasy I have is that any potential exoneration may open people's eyes up a bit that there are a lot of whining, jealous asses out there.

Of course, if it goes the other way, it will make all of our complaining about the Ted Wells timeline look pretty ironic, and well...stupid. Another major hit to the organization could be catastrophic--So much that I don't even like to go there.

Why the f**k is this thing taking so long? I cannot f**king stand it any longer. At least release SOME sort of information about what's going on with the Wells report.

I have to say that I'm disappointed in the two of you. The only reason to feel sensitive about the cheater label is if you have your doubts about the team's innocence, which I don't in any way. I didn't with crygate and I don't now with ballgate.

It's like being accused of cheating on your wife when you know you didn't, and getting defensive over the accusation. Who cares what 'they' think?

It's also pretty clear that the Pats have handled all of the crap being dished out and may have even used it as a driving force. When the Pats stop being called names will be when they stop winning. Until then I'm going to enjoy the heck out of every bit of it.

One more thing please. Even though NFL HQ is filled with one Jets fan/Jets employee/ NY/NJ resident after another, the Pats under Bill Belichick STILL own the NFL. I don't know about you guys, but all of the criticism now is like a nice warm sun on a cool spring day.

I laugh in the face of all the crybabies. Try it.

Sorry, I'll happily embrace the hate people have for us because they are envious but I don't want to embrace the hate people have with us because of slanderous accusations.

There are so many possible reasons why it's taking so long;
-Number one of course is the ineptitude of the NFL High Command. They're all Jets fans.
-I also like the $1000/hour 'take your time and get all the facts' angle. If I'm Wells I go to my birthday in June.
-They're looking extra hard and there isn't anything there. One of my favorites.
- And my other favorite. Belichick is stalling Wells so we can get a pick in 2016.
-They're intentionally taking so long so the useful idiots will forget that the only wrongful/criminal act was that of an NFL HQ employee. That one might have already worked.
-Goody and his Jets buddies are waiting for the right moment
Take your pick.

That's a very accurate way of explaining how some of us feel. When a team is really good for a long period of time, fans of other teams, understandably, get sick of that team while at the same time have respect for that team. When fans of other teams believe, rightly or wrongly, that a long-time winning team is cheating, they get sick of that team but do not respect the team. The respect is what's missing and it's infuriating to those of us who believe it's deserved.

I don't have sympathy for the haters or the slanderers who cause the hate. If someone's dumb enough to believe that the Pats had anything to do with the conditions of those balls, and then goes on to criticize the team for it, I will laugh in their faces so hard that my side might split.

Isn't that the fault of the doubters? It's like feeling bad for the people who got bilked by Dion Warwick's psychic reading scam? If they're dumb enough to fall for that crap who cares what they think? I prefer the respect comes from the opposing fans who have some semblance of a brain.

Anyone who doesn't know that the Pats are deserving of respect are ignorant fools and I laugh in the face of all of them. I don't need they're stinkin' respect.

It also made that the most satisfying SB victory after the one I attended in 78'.....posting that really shut up the Hatriot posters.;)

I could look at the picture of **** Sherman's heart falling out every day for a year and I wouldn't get tired of it. I wonder if he and the rest of the loudmouths will come back with some humility after losing the way they did. When they were up 10 with 12 minutes left they were SURE they were going to win, and the talk started.

However, the Pats shut them out and up in the 4th quarter.

I envy you your outlook.

You're kidding, right? In their minds they probably feel they were robbed and that Butler should have been called for DPI, no way they're going to 'feel' humbled lol. Its not in their nature; as proof I present: Rex Ryan.

I take it as a more of a joke about the stupidity of deflategate than a jab against the Pats. However, Romo and the cowgirls haven't done enough winning to be bragging about their balls.

How many televised award shows does Country Music even have? I swear they must have at least 4 or 5. Is 1 not enough?

I think the line between those two is so fine as to be barely visible to the naked eye.

Wow what a moron. I think we play them this year, should be interesting.

Funny that at a major event like this, they can be confident enough in the composition of their audience to insult a major football team. I guess it really grates on those Texas hillbillies to see a team from Boston usurp their dynasty.

First of all, "hillbillies" come from elsewhere south of the Mason Dixon line, not Texas.

Secondly, I don't think anyone is going to be calling the Pats "America's Team" anytime soon. Romo and Dallas and Peyton are much more appealing to most of the country than a team that plays a few miles from Hahvahd Yahd. So, yeah, it was an easy laugh and didn't take much imagination to script.

Third, in fairness to Dallas, the franchise produced great teams that spanned decades, from Landry/Staubach to Johnson/Aikman. So, I wouldn't say anyone has "usurped" their dynasty: "It is what it is." However it has been over 20 years now since they got back to the big game and that probably does "grate" on them...but I don't think Dallas fans think that has anything to do with the Pats. If the Giants or Eagles or Redskins had put together a run similar to the what the Patriots have done, I think they'd feel that way. In fact, Dallas fans are probably a lot more put out by the Giants' these days than the Patriots.

This is offensive more along the lines of the Jerry Seinfeld/Tim Whatley "No, it offends me as a comedian" category as a lame way of making a joke about having balls at a country music event to go along with drinking beer and riding tractors and chewing tobacco and all the other ra-ra nonsense in the music.

Romo was asked about "Deflategate" when it first happened by ESPN radio before there had been any statement by the Patriots and the media fever was at code red. He said that a Head Coach would never control pressure and that would be a question for a ball boy if anything. He made it a point to say the Patriots had beaten the Colts pretty handily, and that while the NFL has to do their investigation that people look for reasons to try and bring down the Patriots because they have had sustained success in a sports where nobody else really has.

Now if something this dumb serves as inspiration so be it, but I have a funny feeling that Tom Brady is going to be trying hard to win a football game regardless of what was said in a backhanded joke six months earlier. And if the biggest trick Belichick pulls out of his sleeve for the game is pinning this quote to a bulletin board, I'll be one happy fan. But I think Dallas will have much biggest things to worry about when playing New England than this.
