Georgia RB Gurley to visit Patriots

What would Bill and Josh do with a Blount-Gurley backfield? Hmmmmm.

Throw it 50 times. :p.

Not sure it would be both Blount and Gurley in 16?
Mark my words, Bill's watching tape of every game this guy coached:

Patriots sweeps for everybody, just wait on it.

To me the question breaks down two fold. For me on one hand you can find quality backs in many different ways, so why waste a first rounder? But then I think about the 04 season and how beastly Corey Dillon was, so if you think you can get that dynamic to your offense then #32 seems like a small price.

I think most would prefer some magic option for CB, but I am open to improving the O - and it would be fun to have young stud RB for years to come.

Philosophically opposed to expending 1rdr on other than OL/DL, CB, LB in that 1, 2, 3 priority and not really any other positions. But in BBWT.

That covers all the bases :)

He plays like a young Marshawn Lynch, he would be perfect for the offense if his knee checks out.

Agree with the Corey Dillon example. When an already great team gets a top talent running back then great things can happen. Another example would be Marshawn Lynch, his amazing runs always hypes the team up.

Melvin Gordon also coming in for a visit apparently.

There is no-one I'd be more alright with taking in the first if he was somehow attainable....

smokescreeen.....
Agreed, and due diligence. No way Gordon or Gurley will be available at #32. Especially with Gurley checking out ok yesterday. Would be amazing if we could get one of them, both game changers talent wise.

Take him in the first round, if available, and an offensive guard in the second. It might result in the second coming of the 2004 Pats offense.

Maybe a smokescreen. If he's there, why not ?

Let's play a game. I like games. Let's say NOT ONE pick in the 2015 draft is on the NE patriots this season. The team would still be favoured to do well. The current roster would be tweaked, a few street FAs or undrafted FAs would round out the top 53. Gurley could be seen as a very pleasant luxury in this case.

I do not believe Gurley is coming to NE. But what if he was ? By all accounts, he is a potential game changer with the possibility of being a true contributor in STs as well. NE would be ok at RB, it seems, but does anyone here believe there is no room for a talent like this to come in and improve upon that group ?

I'm hoping for OL or DL. But, if healthy (as it seems), there is no doubt a Brady/Gronk/Gurley combo would be very very interesting.

I smell a Smokescreen. Gurley won't make it to 32 and I doubt we draft a RB in the 1st anyways.

Who's a better pick: Gurley or Gordon?

Probably a smokescreen/due diligence as others have said, but it wouldn't shock me since they wanted Steven Jackson back in 2004(reference: just finished reading War Room).
