Wasn't following trial. Those that did, does this verdict surprise you?

WOW, no weapon, no witnesses....mostly circumstantial.....looks like he will appeal......IMHO he's guilty as h3ll but I really thought there was some reasonable doubt to murder 1. I have thought all along, he would never see the outside of a jail cell except to appear in court for the remainder of his life.

LOL at too many here who said he'd get off.
It was a rare slam dunk.
Too many folks watch too much TV. People are convicted on far less actual evidence than the mountain of evidence surrounding the serial killer.
Almost every conviction is based on "circumstantial" evidence, not witnesses.

I wasn't following it extraordinarily closely, but there was some doubt b/c the prosecution couldn't produce the murder weapon, and, given that there were three other people in the car—not merely Hernandez and Lloyd—it wasn't clear they could prove that it was Hernandez who pulled the trigger. [OTOH, given the law of Massachusetts, it's not entirely clear to me they had to prove it.]

Now we get to see how this affects the Patriots. Do they get any cap relief since they now don't owe him another cent?

ESPN will have a field day with "lawbreaking Patriot convicted".
Good time for NFL to announce the Deflategate findings?

Just for the record, in case anyone's wondering, here's how courts define "beyond a reasonable doubt" (stuff in brackets mine).

A reasonable doubt is an honest doubt of the defendant's guilt for which a reason exists based upon the nature and quality of the evidence. It is an actual doubt, not an imaginary doubt. It is a doubt that a reasonable person, acting in a matter of this importance, would be likely to entertain because of the evidence that was presented [by the defense] or because of the lack of convincing evidence [presented by the state].

Cap relief comes if they can recoup some of the signing bonus they paid; the big question is if he gets convicted of the other murders, because then he would have been in breach of his contract on the day he signed it.

As far as I understand, the 2012 murder charges are much more relevant since that came before his contract extension.

If i was AH, id just change my plea on the double homicide to guilty. Save whatever money he has left.

What a waste...

So much for that snarky Rolling Stone article that claimed that there was no chance he would be convicted for murder and could be back in the NFL in three years.

Glad to see the jury could see that he was clearly guilty. I still don't get the defense only giving a handful of witnesses and going for this "Hernandez was too high on Angel Dust to kill Lloyd" defense from out of the blue.

to bad theres no death penalty in ma because thats what he deserves.

"Rolling Stone article" Too funny!

Breaking news from Schefter: "According my sources at this time, it is being reported to me that Aaron Hernandez has signed a lifelong contract with the state penitentiary basketball team."

Sad day for the Patriots and the NFL ..... but good day for justice and Odin Lloyd's family. Hope they get the cloture that they need

Almost makes me glad they didn't win SB 46 on a TD by that severely messed up dude.
