Revis disses Patriots fans; takes jab at Brady and BB on Instagram (then claims he was hacked)

oh draft please come faster, the lack of real football news is depressive

Also annoyed by how many are now claiming that nobody thought Revis would stay beyond one year when everyone here was highly optimistic he'd stick around longterm when he arrived last year.
i didnt think he would stay. not for one second. lots of people felt that way. why people thought he would stay is beyond me. all you had to do was look at how revis and the patriots handled there busines in the past.

With Revis on the team and the Seahawks getting another 1/2 yard the Patriots probably lose their 3rd SB in the same fashion as the last two. That wasn't supposed to happen again. #justsayin

Well I'll have some crow to eat if this actually turns out to be true. I still just can't imagine Revis would actually say that.
why? he has a history of flapping his gums. thats part of the reason he went back to the jets. he can say whatever he wants unlike patriots players.

BREAKING: NFL investigating Patriots for hacking Darrelle Revis' Instagram account

The ball boy was seen going into the mens room with his cellphone. Felger smells a rat. NFL to investigate. :D

No doubt in my mind Revis owns the words. A little too much wine I suppose. How cool would it be if the Patriots sent Revis his ring via FedEx.

In fact, in hindsight it's a miracle they came together for a year at all.

I hope it was him, would eliminate any disappointment of not having him.

Edit: guess he claimed it was hacked in the NYP article in the other thread.

That's what everyone claims when they throw a hissyfit on social media. It was him. That said, I wouldn't give it a second thought if he was still playing all pro-level corner for us, so I'm not going to now either for consistency's sake.

Being a fan became a lot easier after realizing that most of these guys are admirably hard-working, but a lot of the time they're also dumb and entitled, and lacking an education past middle school. Just look at all of the ex-players on the pregame shows, and then think to yourself "apparently these are some of the most articulate, reasonable ex-players out there."

I have a vague recollection of someone named Darryl Reeves........who the hell is he/she and why does he/she matter? Are they going to play Pris in the remake of Blade Runner?

I do know that the biggest CB play of the year was made by Butler and the only reason anyone has a ring is because of him.

I would honestly not invite anyone who signed with the Jets to the ring party at the Krafts.....screw 'em

I thought the name was Mevis.

Not to pick nits, but that was the biggest CB play of all time.

Send the ring in the mail to Buffalo "by mistake" and hide it in a candy bar wrapper.

I should re-edit that, I don't think it was a "hack" anymore either.

But, I do have to say in defense of football players generally, I find the circumstances they play under make them far more appealing than some other sports, in particular hockey. An ex of mine had dated an NHL player, and many of my close friends worked in night spots frequented by these players; even the so called "gentlemen" of the league would get drunk and put their hands up skirts (while married), teams would go party till 6am after a poor effort that cost them home ice advantage in the playoffs, etc. Not saying it doesn't happen in the NFL, but the lack of a guaranteed contract alone means these players are only "entitled" so long as they produce (obviously some contracts have more guarantees than others). In the NHL, you'll find that most of the players come from wealthier families (elite hockey at a young level is EXPENSIVE), contrasted with players in the NFL who often rise up out of poverty (and use that for motivation). I even started to notice that my NHL team would always play poorly in anything that could be considered a "party city" (like NY, Florida, Annaheim).

I guess you already said they were "admirably hard-working", so I'm not exactly disagreeing with you. But I still think Revis' comments were far worse than what we can expect from your average player and it's because of the lack of entitlement on display that I have at least a modicum of respect for these players and continue to watch! I just can't believe they all think/act like Revis.

Not to hate on Revis, but there are players who have been on this team that were far more deserving of a Super Bowl win. The two that instantly come to mind are Junior Seau and Randy Moss.
Goddamn I wish those guys got their rings with us. Especially Randy after that magical season. :-(

I wish Junior Seau had won a ring and had an undefeated season before he killed himself.

Maybe I'm naive but I just don't buy that these posts had anything to do with Revis. It sounds nothing like him. Insults don't strike me as his M.O. Accounts do get genuinely hacked from time to time, just ask Target or Anthem/BCBS or any of the other big name companies that have had their financials compromised recently. Heck, just look at the rampant redirect issue plaguing us here for the past few weeks. It's not like people are speculating that Ian is secretly working for adultfriendfinder so why are we accusing Revis of anything malicious? Makes no sense to me.

Professional athletes put up with so much crap from too-invested fans that they sometimes lash out. No big deal whether it was him or not.

I'm betting most celebrities - even minor celebrities - hope for the moment when one of hte keyboard warrior has the gumption to say it to their face. probably why so many get into bar fights, too.

Athletes can be idiots...many fans are far worse.

I wish Junior Seau had won a ring and had an undefeated season before he killed himself.

That is my biggest regret. Far more than 19-0 I really wanted Seau and secondly Moss to a lesser extent to get a ring.

My twitter was hacked about a year or so ago because I didn't have a strong password, it was identified for its number of followers and was brute force hacked.. they made 3 tweets with it that were some affiliate link and/or probably a virus.

I lost about 5,000 followers for that lol, but I dont take twitter seriously and the only reason I got up to 20,000 followers was because I used a twitter management software that basically grew my followers for me

What i don't get is that revis never apppeared to apologize for the negative comments made by the "hacker." If it were me, i would have apologized right away for the "hacker" dissing brady and belichick. He didn 't so...maybe he did make those comments after all?

He did.....and I'm not proud saying that either, because whatever admiration I had for Revis, has fallen down the drain :(

He went from being a Super Bowl champ to signing with the most laughable and unlikable team in the NFL, to disrespecting his former teammates and coach...all in the span of two months! And to think, he could've left a more positive legacy in New England...that's what happens when you choose mediocrity over greatness, and ego over team

We got #4. Revis helped. Don't care about what else happens.
