Revis disses Patriots fans; takes jab at Brady and BB on Instagram (then claims he was hacked)

If Revis did say it all, it would just seem to me as though he is mostly just a guy who really wants his teammates to like him... When he was a Jet initially, he had his little tirades from time to time and called BB a jerk or whatever. Then when in NE, he conforms to the Patriot Way and generally keeps quiet and things are almost all in-house. Now, he is a Jet again, so it's back to the Pat bashing.

It doesn't make me dislike him necessarily because it makes me think that none of these things are actually his real opinions, but rather just what he thinks his teammates want to hear. It's just vapid. Oh well, there are worse things to be.

I'll vote that it was hacked. Seems way too out of character...

Yea the references to his penis size and using the word **** are show stoppers to the media from a PR stand point so I'd be really surprised if he did that unless he was wasted.

Then again, the bigger the lie the more easily believed it is.. if he was going to have a blowout on instagram, mine as well go all the way so it's more believable he was hacked.

Either way, he can enjoy his remaining years in that sewer dwelling Rats team

I'll accept him being hacked. Now let's see if he can cover Edelman. Sherman certainly couldn't.

I've never seen or heard of him speaking like that anywhere. Calling people c*nts and telling them his d*ck is bigger than theirs. So I am going to assume that it was indeed hacked. Unless he was just really drunk or something.

and particularly when it is NOT true as Galeb can verify.

Sorry m8, although yours is gigantic, Revis is packing. Ty Law is too. Perhaps that measurable should be included in combine stats.

I have a vague recollection of someone named Darryl Reeves........who the hell is he/she and why does he/she matter? Are they going to play Pris in the remake of Blade Runner?

I do know that the biggest CB play of the year was made by Butler and the only reason anyone has a ring is because of him.

I would honestly not invite anyone who signed with the Jets to the ring party at the Krafts.....screw 'em

Agreed again. What amazes me, in regards to all sports is the lack of balls as fans. Oh you were raised and groomed in a system, won championships and now you want to go get overpaid then fine. But to the Yankees?? (Ellsbury). Don't boo him incessantly because that's rude. Horse-bleep.

Revis sunk to an all time low. I used to like him, respect him with the Jets. I thought, wow he gets it signing with the Pats. Championships mean everything. Then he negotiates a contract with the Jets he KNOWS the Pats can't match. Loser. Plain and simple. Then this. Maybe, just maybe, if players from all markets, (especially great ones) would think twice about jumping ship to join the enemy if they knew their name would be mud if they did. Most especially to teams that have a near zero chance to compete for championships.

Is this harsh? Maybe. Maybe not.

Yeah, it /really/ didn't sound like him. At all. He's always been pretty low key and professional.

C'mon, as if you've never said anything you regretted while drunk :p

Probably the same reason someone would bring down maine.gov. Seriously, people need to chill. Thank Revis for what he did here and move on. Don't need to find reasons to hate him. He wanted to get paid and supposedly go home. Good for him. Also annoyed by how many are now claiming that nobody thought Revis would stay beyond one year when everyone here was highly optimistic he'd stick around longterm when he arrived last year.

Exactly... don't dish it out if you can't take it in. Sure, it would be surprising and amusing if an athlete like Revis would actually spend the time to respond to some dimwits, but I don't know why NE fans can't just thank the man and move on. He told the Patriots he would stay in New England if their offer was in the ballpark, even if less, than his best offer. By all accounts, their offer was not in the ballpark of his best offer. The man was willing to take a discount, but the Patriots didn't meet him halfway, since halfway would have been against their philosophy and cap discipline. Both sides would have been nuts to cave and meet the other one. It happened. He's gone. Don't act like he owed us all anything else. He played here for one year at a discount and was a first team all-pro.

Anyway, I highly doubt it was Revis, but there's probably an explanation that hasn't been posed yet. Perhaps his girlfriend, wife, or friend, decided to reply? Particularly a woman in his life who didn't appreciate the Instagram hate? I doubt his account was hacked equally as much as I doubt Revis would write that stuff. Just seems so out of character for a professional athlete of his standing. He is typically a cool customer, and there's probably very little he hasn't heard from social media haters. His replies were really jackhammer-like; I've never thought of Revis as someone with thin-skin and a hot temper, but more than that, I've never thought of him as someone who would waste five minutes during the day to reply to that garbage. More likely, someone else did it, and Revis is covering for them. I mean, the language he was using was just over-the-top; very much doubt Revis or any athlete would do that to their brand for no apparent reason.

Here's what I'm talking about when I say Revis responds to random hate. This was on twitter. After the Baltimore playoff game I believe. The fan was referencing his PI penalties.

Odd. I thought that there was no way that was really him on Instagram at first because he seems to be low key, as well as very self aware. Seeing this makes me think that there is a chance this was actually him with the "you can't do what I do" theme to it.

Interesting find/point. Still think it's quite a jump from that quote to the over-the-top curse word avalanche, even if there is a similarity in the style.

I don't believe he was hacked. I respect his abilities and thank him for his contribution for our 4th Lombardy, but there is no denying that he's full of sh*t, especially after that "favor" claim which was super hilarious.

I would be disappointed if Revis "took the bait" and was actually arguing with some dim wit and had to actually insult two future Hall of Famers who were most recently standing with him in a sea of confetti all because of an idiotic Instagram cat fight. We all know that the argument is assanine. Brady, Belichick, and Revis combined all were tremendous contributors to the championship; no point in one of them trying to talk himself up like he was more valuable than the other two, even if goaded to do so. Good chance without Brady, Belichick, or Revis (or Gronkowski, or Edelman, or Butler) there is no championship. It's a team game. You'd think everyone would just feel fortunate to define their careers by reaching the highest level.

You know why the old saying exists, never argue with a fool...

Even if he was ´´hacked`` he should apologize or at least express that did not feel that way about the team that provided the chance to him to be relevant again in the NFL. Be cut by the worst team in the league ( this team that had room for 4 Revis ) , is very humbling .

Thankfully we don't live in a world where someone who is the victim of a crime has to apologize for what the perpetrator did.

Most of us are just bored man.... We're still waiting for the draft to come along, and Nothing pre-occupies like negativity

Quite frankly, I could care less what Revis thinks, though I find the whole hacking thing intriguing!

If I leave for neglect my personal computer accessible to all , and someone comes to use it improperly I think the most correct behavior should be me apologize.

If you do not agree , your right. I do not care for Revis and I think he is overrated -though actually be one of the best of his position - and not care what he says a bit.

I think he should be a man and take what he said or recant if he does not agree with what was said .

At the time he spends his time to say his computer has been invaded and only that, he is partly agreeing with what was said. Do you think he would have the same attitude if it were a racial slur or a more severe case ?
