Revis disses Patriots fans; takes jab at Brady and BB on Instagram (then claims he was hacked)

"I got hacked" is the equivalent to "My dog ate my homework" excuse.
Not in this case, even if Revis did think that he's too smart to say that. Revis is a business mastermind, that wouldn't be good for his PR. Seriously if anyone really thinks he would say that they are out of their mind.

Way before this, I noticed Revis would sometimes reply to completely random fans that were hating through twitter and instagram. Several times. It seemed really insecure to me. Now this. And I would not be surprised if real.

The hacking claim is so predictable. But think about this. If someone were to hack his instagram, you'd think they would POST A PICTURE of something ridiculous. Why would someone hack another's instagram to respond to random hate comments they were getting?!
Probably the same reason someone would bring down maine.gov. Seriously, people need to chill. Thank Revis for what he did here and move on. Don't need to find reasons to hate him. He wanted to get paid and supposedly go home. Good for him. Also annoyed by how many are now claiming that nobody thought Revis would stay beyond one year when everyone here was highly optimistic he'd stick around longterm when he arrived last year.

If it was real so what in the end our team got the 4th and cemented TB12 and BBs legacies everything else is irrelevant

Rumor: Instagram Technology worker reports messages came from IP address used many times by Revis in the past.

I'd respect him if he'd just own up to it, or not say anything at all. The hacked excuse is such a cop out.

Well I'll have some crow to eat if this actually turns out to be true. I still just can't imagine Revis would actually say that.

Nothing shocks me anymore. Does he have a "posse" like some other athletes.?. It could have been one of the hangerons....or him.

I'm not saying he did or he didn't do it, but why is everyone saying this is so our of character for Revis? He's consistently lost his cool on twitter many times over the years. This would fall right in line with his other outbursts.

Okay, so we saw that he's done this - or got hacked - before, with the same "shut up fan you only wish you could do what I do" attitude.

"No biggie," other than to say we need all you social media mavens to ride him hard two weeks a year. Either "no biggie," or social media gets in his head. One caveat though, it's not cool to make him kill himself.

Yah, Revis manteined his posture when opposed by Richard Sherman about being the best CB and etc. I don't think he would lose his mind like this after one joe's rant

That's exactly what makes me think there's a chance this isn't him.

Does he actually tweet himself or does he have someone do it for him?

I wasn't really buying into the idea that it's him until I saw that other tweet. The crying/laughing emoji three times seems to be a thing...or whoever hacked his IG account really went through pains to make it seem like Revis.

Bottom line...doesn't really matter to me. When the Pats won the SB, the Pats I thought about were TFB, BB, *whoever made the INT* (I didn't have access to the game, so didn't know who it was), Gronk, Edelman and a few others. Revis helped out, but he was a useful mercenary. Now he's elsewhere...oh well.

"I got hacked" is the equivalent to "My dog ate my homework" excuse.

Reminds me of an idea I heard once. Find a really hot girl from among your friends and send her a message on FB telling her how hot she is and how you think the two of you should hook up. If she replies unfavorably, just fire the same message to all your friends and post a status that you got hacked. If she says yes...then enjoy.

That said, I completely disagree with his remarks about Brady and Belichick. Definitely overrating himself, if that's what he truly believes. Winning the Super Bowl was a team effort.

Revis won it single-handedly. He allowed zero TDs in the super bowl on people he was covering, and intercepted the pass at the end to win the game. He also threw the TD to Gronk.

While my initial reaction was that it seemed hard to believe it was Revis, the longer I think about it the more I think, "Who cares?" He's gone now, the one year experience was mutually beneficial, and virtually every ounce of anecdotal evidence over his career indicates that he worships the Benjamins over any sort of team loyalty. No problem. He helped bring us a SB, he was handsomely rewarded for it and "Adios."

I actually can't believe there are some here who are naive enough to think his account was hacked. Like, if someone really hacked his account, they aren't going to try and bring us some "inside" information about stuff that's much more interesting? All they are going to do is get into an argument with a fan? LOL. Give me a break.

The evidence so far:

1. The repeated times where he's lost his cool on twitter in the past.

2. The pattern use of double/triple emojis after the statement.

3. This reported IP address matching up with lots of past Revis tweets/messages.

It seems as though Revis is exactly who we thought he was---a one year rental where N.England provided him the best opportunity to showcase his talent, much like a high number of other players we've seen in the past.

I wonder if he really feels that way about Bill and Brady or if that was just a defense mechanism. If that's how he really feels its quite disrespectful. You're right on the fine details all the way down to the emojis. Seems like another meltdown in a long line of them.

Almost nobody gets their FB or Twitter or IG "hacked". 99% of the times the "hack" is that they left their account logged in on a device or gave credentials to someone who abused access.

Which seems more likely here because those tweets don't generally seem very representative of Revis' comportment.

maybe, but Revis could have responded to that poster in the heat of the moment only to realize later he screwed up.
