Predict the schedule for Tix

I did this a couple days ago, I'll have to post what I predicted. Would be cool if one of us won.

It says whoever is the closest 'gets an opportunity to win' tickets, etc. Anyone know what that means?

I said opener is Steelers (home), week 2 Dolphins (away), week 3 Jets (home), week 4 Texans (away), week 5 Jaguars (home), week 6 Redskins (home), week 7 Eagles (home), week 8 BYE, week 9 Bills (home), week 10 Cowboys (away), week 11 Broncos (away), week 12 Dolphins (home), week 13 Giants (away), week 14 Colts (away), week 15 Titans (home), week 16 Bills (away), week 17 Jets (away).

Typically, the league alternates home/away each year.

First game against Miami was away and the Jets were home last year.

Sweeps are in November so expect big games that month. Eagles-Fox, Cowboys- CBS, Denver- NBC?

I did it...said steelers week 1...jets last game of year...DEN right after the bye in week 12...rest i forget

Looking at the Gillette Stadium Event Calendar I do not see any conflicts on a Sunday that would cause the Patriots to request an away game that week. There is however a concert on Saturday night (September 12), so perhaps they will be on the road for week two.

The past few Super Bowl winners have opened with these games; the opponent's record is for their previous season:
Seattle - vs Green Bay (8-7-1 but won NFC North; Rodgers back after missing 7 games)
Ravens - at Denver (8-8 but won AFC West w/Tebow; Manning's first game w/Broncos)
Giants - vs Dallas (8-8)
Packers - vs New Orleans (11-5)
Saints - vs Minnesota (12-4)
Steelers - vs Tennessee (13-3)

If the trend continues the Patriots should open at home against an out of division, in-conference opponent that made the post-season last year. Pittsburgh is the only team that fits all of that criteria; I would pencil them in for week one.

If I am not mistaken television rating sweep weeks will be from weeks 9-13. The Denver game will take place then, and most likely the games at Dallas and Indy will as well. I would think the league and networks would save the Patriots-Cowboys game for a Sunday rather than Thanksgiving (when they have a captive audience), but you never know; if so that would eliminate Dallas for week 12.

The only other given that I can think of is ending the season with division opponents for the final two games.
