Marshal Faulk is a hateful, spiteful little man

Why can't we get people smarter than WEEI personnel to represent Patriots fans? This boob couldn't debate the issue and got owned by Faulk who clearly libeled without opposition.

Anyone with a brain wouldnt have let him off the hook and would have point blank asked him "are you publically claiming for the record that the Patriots filmed your practices and deflated footballs?"

Simple as that. He had Faulk dead to right but his synapses did not spark and he guffawed and chanted "They hate us cause they ain't us". He made Faulk look like the rational person that he isn't. Those who can't get real jobs go into sports radio.

****ing exactly, I cannot express how frustrated it makes me to see this happen time and time again. You hear it on the radio all the time when people call in with a great point calling out Felger about deflategate but then freeze like a deer in the headlights when he evades their question only to turn it back around on them. And then he makes you look like an idiot when all you have to do when you get on the air is stay calm and not allow yourself to give ground or be distracted from your initial point. Give them enough rope to hang themselves and they will, but too many callers panic and contradict themselves on some small point (a common one I hear all the time is that they'll say they listen to the show but then admit they didn't on so and so a day) giving Felger an opening to put them on the defensive. And then it's all over.

It says something about the NFL when it allows a longtime regular on the league network to consistently present a lie as fact (NE was guilty of taping the Rams' walkthrough.) Years ago he should have been directed to cease and desist but, obviously, either he hasn't been told or he has been told and has simply said to his bosses "f### you." Very revealing about the NFL' s attitude toward its premier franchise.

That guy does not work for WEEI ... he's the Barstool gnome.

Yes, you're right. But, so is shmessy in the sense that the idiot handled the situation as poorly as it could have been handled.

A difference between the Barstool guy and callers on EEI and 98.5 is that the Barstool guy makes his living being an obnoxious provocateur. I don't go to his site too often but I remember seeing a clip from SB media day of him trying to grill Bob Kravitz.

It doesn't take much research at all to know that if you take a confrontational tone with Marshall Faulk about the Patriots, he's going to bring up the myth of the Rams walkthrough tape. It's disappointing that the Barstool guy went into that situation without anticipating that response and having a rebuttal ready for it.

Just once I want someone to ask him "Marshall the video and what was on the tapes in 07 were shown on Fox news and the included nothing about filming practices. It has pretty solidly been proven that the guy making those accusations was a lying bitter former employee. It is my opinion none of that matters, what matters is what happens on the field of play in the heat of battle. Much like in 07 when the patriots were more talented then the giants by a country mile they ended up losing because on that day, in that stadium the giants played better. It kills me to say it but they deserved to win solely because they played better. Can you looking back on super bowl 36 admit on that day, in that stadium the patriots were the better team? Not who was more talented or had the better season, on that day who deserved to win?"

It's amazing how people are able to convince themselves that something is true even when it's not true.

There was never a tape of a walk through of the Rams. It was proven to a hoax. John Tomase spread the hoax and later wrote a long apology explaining that he screwed up.

And yet Marshall Faulk is able to put his hands over his ears, say "la la la la", and believe it really happened.

I have sympathy for Faulk.... Super Bowl 36 was one of the biggest upsets in NFL history. I can imagine how that kind of loss would leave scars. Besides, there are worse Patriots haters are there than Faulk. I think he's a classy guy for the most part

He didn't handle it well ... but I enjoyed watching Faulk get all smarmy about it.

You need to watch him more on NFL gameday morning. Heck Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin have started calling him out on his hate towards the Patriots every now and then. More like teasing him but even they see he's a hateful bitter little man. I'll never have any sympathy for entitled sore losers.

Icy, I'll enjoy it far more when someone competent calmly and efficiently blows Faulk out of the water regarding his continued libel.

Too bad only remedial school students work Boston sports media.

Unfortunately Faulk was smarmy (the correct definition of smarmy) because he knew he easily defeated the slow minded questioner.

Maybe true.....some people just never get over their losses.

Faulk is beyond logic ... he'll bring this to his grave.
I simply enjoy when people make him relive it ....:cool::cool:

To add a layer of ridiculousness to Faulk's beliefs:

He believes the Rams SB36 walkthrough was taped and that the NFL paid off Matt Walsh, destroyed his tape and covered the whole thing up. Yet Faulk continues to work for the NFL. He could have quit in protest and gone to ESPN or Fox Sports, but he's apparently satisfied drawing checks from an organization that he also believes covered up a scandal that negatively impacted him.

And then Matt Damon in the background holding a sign that say 'how about them apples'. Then BB slaps Warner across the head for not believing in evolution and Gronk bangs his wife.
Isn't BB divorced?? Or have I misread??
