Ridley is a Jet

@AdamSchefter: Former Pats RB Stevan Ridley has agreed to terms with the Jets, per source.

Gross

Looking like our 2016 starting RB and 2015 RB 1B to Blount is coming from this draft.

Get ready for all the chest thumping for signing a player who the Pats freely let walk away without so much as a goodbye.

In my opinion, the fumbling issue was bad but can possibly be outweighed or overcome. The knee injury is bad but can possibly be rehabbed. However, the two issues combined are too concerning with so many running backs readily available.

Not gonna say good luck but thanks for everything kid.

Had so much promise here it seemed after 2012, what a shame. I really wanted to see him revive himself somewhere, can't really say I feel that way now.

Well, I wish him his health.

That sucks.

Damn, I really hate that this happened. I thought Ridley was our clear best back prior to injury this year, and responded to a SLIGHTLY below average season of fumbling by not fumbling at all before he got hurt.

I hate that we lose a disproportionate number of our best players to division rivals. Salty.

Ridley averaged 3.6 ypc last year and that's before he busted up his MCL and ACL.

For comparison, Vereen averaged 4.1 ypc........Blount averaged 4.7 ypc with the Patriots.......Gray averaged 4.6 ypc.

I welcome the extra compensatory pick! Hopefully the Jets overpaid as they normally do.

Guessing 1 year 2 mill
Yes unfollowing him on Facebook is certainly in order can't believe he didn't go to the Skins.
Frickin Jets guessing if Hernandez is exonerated they would sign him as well.

Well that sucks.

Is every FA this year going to our division rivals? Unreal.

Sorry to see him go, especially to the Jets. But I always saw Ridley as guy who gave us his best, loved being a Patriot, and embraced the Patriot Way, so I'll never gratuitously trash him just because he now plays for another team...even the Jets. Its just now I'll have to root against him twice a year. Circumstances created this outcome, he never would have chosen to leave. I'm glad he got his ring.

I am unhappy here. SR was solid despite his fumbles. But now he is a jet and I'll simply depise him.

Ridley fumbling and Geno/Fitzpatrick throwing picks...Jets offense will continue to be a joke.

If they have a decent offensive line, Stevan will probably be their prime ball carrier. Too bad he had to get in Bill's doghouse and then top it off with the injury.
