What to do with all the draft picks?

i hope they continue to play hard. f the lottery. the lotto is for losers. philly and other teams are in the lotto all the time and they have gone nowhere. the celtics have plenty of first round picks from the nets and they arent making the playoffs. ainge is doing a awesome job and has the team in position to make a lot of moves.

God damn those stupid, delusional Smelltics and their ******ed, suicidal push for a meaningless,
doomed-to-mediocrity playoff one-and-done. Feckin azzholes.

nice win for the celtics go green

Gotta think of the big picture. Wins this season mean less than nothing.

the big picture is set up fine.they have plenty of picks cap room and good young players. theres more then one way to build a contending team. winning means everything. teams grow and learn how to win thru the exp they have in the playoffs. the lotto doesnt guarantee anything.

im not really overly excited about anyone coming out this year. Okafor and the 2 Kentucky big men need to stay in school another year because i dont think they are ready. Nobody else is a must have. Frank Kominsky (sp?) has a nice game but needs to put on weight.

Even Eric Montross v2.0 would be an improvement over any other 4/5 not named Tyler Zeller.

Agreed.

All you have to do is look at the draft history. Plenty of Top 3 picks don't pan out. Plenty of guys 10 (Paul Pierce) and back do.

Ainge and Stevens understand that these young guys need to learn to play hard and win... indeed, teaching them to lose, even if it's for the cause of the #1 pick, is only teaching them to lose, and frankly Ainge and Stevens won't know what they have if they don't let the players play hard

Might as well let these guys stretch and grow a little bit - and as noted they already have enough future picks to package them and move up and around if there's a guy Ainge wants outside of the very top picks

I'm really not convinced that the 76ers approach of consistently losing is the way to go

And at some point you need to show that you have the complimentary players to attract free agents who actually might want to win!

Sure it's a dubious honor given the mediocrity of most of the NBA - but let's let this young team enjoy the achievement and see if they can flex some muscles in the playoffs

Go Celts!

plus...we are not that far away from being in the playoffs every year. I live in California and don't see a lot of Celtics games anymore, but they were on the other night. I have not seen such great ball movement in a long time. I was surprised to see a really good young team that is a player or two away from being a really solid squad. I think Danny has/is doing an excellent job at building this team and Brad Stevens is a really good coach.

This team is a direct reflection of their coach. Maximum effort all of the time, balls of a burglar and never quit. There are other teams in town who could replicate their effort.

Danny's on the clock now with all his precious 2nd-rounders.
