I heard Felger ripping Edwards yesterday. I had no idea if it was true. Awesome on Jack for calling out that lying steaming pile of sh#t that is Michael Felger. Would love an update in this thread as to whether or not felger acknowledges his fabrication.....he is such a world class doosh...or at least he plays the part to a T on the radio

Would felger ever take the time and research something like Edwards? Hell no

Edwards has really grown on me over the years, I love his passion as well as his dedication to his work. He has worked really hard to be as good at his job as he can be, and he knows the game inside out. Felger is the opposite case in terms of professionalism. He is bright and could be knowledgeable if he chose to be, and had he dedicated himself to becoming a great writer, analyst, or media voice he could actually have been one of the best at any of them, unfortunately for him and everyone else he decided to take the lazy route and construct a cheap idiotic contrarian personna that substitutes trolling for responses over providing a substantive voice that could add to a discussion. He openly admits not caring about the truth or facts and simply revels in playing to the lowest denominator and pissing people off. They are studies in contrasts, one is hardworking, knowledgeable, and professional and the other lazy, deliberately dishonest, and as unprofessional as they get, but that's what you get when you adopt Ron Borges as your mentor.

My take on Edwards: he's very, very good at his job, he is incredibly quick with his call of a game that requires you to be incredibly quick. He wears his fandom and his passion on his sleeve, for better and for worse. During great games you can feel the excitement coming from him and it makes the game better for you the viewer. Does he go overboard with his Bruins bias at times? Sure, and if I wasn't a B's fan I could see that being annoying...but he's doing a local broadcast for the local team, sorry but having some bias isn't the end of the world.

My take on Felger: he's the radio version of an internet troll. And he's very good at it. He spins things with his 'hot takes' in a way that's infuriating, but that's his intent. He's become so successful BECAUSE of his trolling, which is 100% intentional and he makes no apologies about it. Either ignore it or listen knowing that's what he's doing, but it's just not worth getting worked up because that's exactly what he wants.

Mazz can suck it...he's basically a less intelligent, squeaky version of Felger. Oh, and Adam Jones is easily the worst of the bunch, he takes Felgers trolling and multiplies it by 100, with a very smug, condescending affect to boot. He's just plain awful.

Edwards is pretty good but I could do without his overly orgasmic calls when the other team scores....Stamkos scored a double on the Bs awhile back and I think Edwards wet himself....tone down the opponent goals jack....

You are too young to have heard Johnny Most. He was The Most Biased announcer ever and we all loved it.

Jack "the anorexic boy band fan" Edwards talks out his ass. The "You don!t have to tell him twice to shoot it" statement is absurd given Connolly averaged 1.4 shots per game as a Lightning this year. Though Connolly did have a very nice 16% shooting % this year, his NHL career mark is Daniel Paillesque at 9.3%. Connolly did have a great minor league career no doubt. We'll see how this kid performs as a Bruin winger who will be asked to dig and grind more than in a Lightning offense that has scored 46 more goals than the B's
IMO, nothing wrong with Felger stickin it to a Bruins EMPLOYEE who is paid to polish the pieces. Cherry picking stats to support narratives is par for the course for hometown announcers and every time these Baghdad Bob's start delivering the party line, I shake my head in amazement that these teams really serve the lowest common denominator first.....the gullible homer fan.
The worst of the worst outside of Boston is Susan Waldman on Yankees radio and the Devil Rays TV announcers who play the homer card in every sentence they utter.

He needs to tone down everything IMO..the other game he was rambling about leaderships for like 8 min and my buddy txted me WTF is he talking about...I txted him the exact same thing at the same time

After ripping the Bruins, their media and fans, Felger apologized for being wrong about quoting Jack instead of Brickley.

I think his bombastic homeristic delivery is great! It goes right along with the Renee Rancourt fist pumps and makes the Bruins fun. I get bummed out when we have to listen to regional or national people call the game. No way they are routing for the Bruins like Jack and Brick. C'mon people!
