Sign the Beast LXI: Pats had C/G Stefen Wisniewski in for a visit this week

Sign Wisniewski, between him, Stork, Wendell and one or two drafted linemen you've got depth, skill and versatility.

Seems like a perfect Patriots player. Played the entire 2011 season at LG and played center since. Can play multiple positions.

I would support this even though he seems like more of a C than a G to me.

Wiz comes from a great football family. Uncle Steve is the former Penn State and Raider great. His dad Leo played on PSU's outstanding teams in the early 80's. That seems like a tough injury for an OL to overcome in an off-season. Really limits weight training I would think.

Didn't he say he would never play G again?

Another visited player that won't sign here....

Fast forward to the draft please

Much ado about nothing. After a very cordial visit with the Patriots, Wisniewski will sign
with another team in a couple of days or weeks.

Now this is a player that I would really like to sign. Our interior offensive line would be automatically upgraded!!!!

Wisniewski is visiting the jags today

I don't know who this is but if he's a solid guard then sign him.

Sign someone on the o-line, depth is dangerously thin.

read that he never wants to play guard again.

doubt he signs with us since we have the stork moving on..

If that's the case forget it. Stork is our center of the future, I can envision him being the backbone of our O-line for 10 years.

Stork is the center but a Guard that can play there is always preferable. If Wisniewski doesn't want to play guard then no thanks. I still have Cameron Serving at the top of my wish list at #32. He could start at Guard right away and gives them 3 OL who can play center, 4 if Connolly returns. I'm really hoping that Belichick intends on beefing up their interior OL because they are going against really good DL in division. Erving could fill LG and I could see them moving Vollmer to RG and Cannon to RT. On the other hand I could just be trying to find a way to square Cannon's deal with his role. Either way I see the guard spots as priorities and I don't care if it's Mathis and Erving or any number of combinations as long as they upgrade significantly. Pressure right up the gut is the best way to short circuit the Patriots offense and making it really hard to get that pressure the best way to keep Brady healthy and effective.

He'll play wherever if he likes the money. Jax is flush with cash and could be an up and comer. I'd love him here and he must be interested in the championship angle. If we could get an experienced G/C 26 year old looking for rings he'd be perfect.

If they gave him the 4 mil per 3 year deal with most guarenteed I say go for it. Worth the risk. Of course we want him after May 12th now (Instead of June 1 like it used to be).

Sit tight and come to a winner Wiz. You'll be glad you did.
