I'll drop in the quote from the Mike Freeman article being discussed in the "Belichick Derangement Syndrome" thread:

Mike Freeman said:
The hate is also fueled by the fact many in football—and I mean, almost everyone—believe the Patriots skirt the rules. Make no mistake: The league office believes this as well. They think he cheats all the time. They would deny this publicly, but it's true. This is why, within the league, Deflategate gained so much steam, so fast.

It's not paranoia when they really are out to get you.

Hard to believe we are still waiting on resolution to this investigation. What a joke.

No one disputes the fact that people in the league office are out to get the Patriots, in fact the idea that Mike Kensil was the one who created the issue has been the premise we have been going by all along. What we dispute is the claim that they can sanction the Patriots when the Wells report finds no wrongdoing. In fact you claimed that there would be two reports, one that Welll's produced showing "the warts" I.e wrongdoing by the league office, and the whitewashed version Goodell will show the public, yet when I brought up the fact that the owners paid for the investigation and report and as such will have full access to the entire report and not just a Goodell redacted version, and asked you how they could get away with just a redacted version when the Parrots and their counsel will have the real thing you never answered.

So tell us how the league will be able to put out a whitewash when the Patriots will have the real thing to counter with.

In both the Martin and Bountygate scandals the entire report was available so why will this be any different?

That's where the paranoia lies.

It has finally dawned on marble head here that BB may have serious problems getting into the NFL HOF with this pervasive unstated belief among football people...people with decades of having their asses kicked and playoff dreams stomped on.

shocking a bunch of jets fans think the pats cheat.

I don't really believe they do, but the alternative is to accept reality.

What is an arrogant, delusional, entitled New Yorker going to do to ward off insanity?

RECAP: I'm listening to WEEI right now, and most callers and even (most of) the hosts don't believe that NE should pay any sort of fine, even if it were an equipment violation. The accusation of tampering has done damage to the Patriot brand. If the Wells reports cannot show or prove that the Patriots had any intent or knowledge of tampering, no one on the team should be made to pay a fine.

An additional argument is that a fine would strike most people in the media as an admission of guilt. Tom Brady and Coach Belichick have had to deal with enough troubles and unfair allegations, and the franchise deserves some kind of compensation for what they have gone through. Because of this, callers insist there shouldn't be anything less than an apology, and no fines.

Did I miss anything?

"Bern"? "Woods"? "Paris"?

Have you been travelling lately?

hmmm? someone doesn't seem to value public opinion.

Well, Felger and Tanguay are quite sure the Pats are guilty, guilty, guilty. Tanguay, in particular, does NOT want to hear any of that science nonsense!

I wish to hell I knew how to get those guys off the air. It continues to confound me that CSNNE and 98.5 think that it's good business to employ people who hate the area sports teams with a passion.

The reason they say this crap and the reason they are still employed is because they get a response. You admittedly hate them, and yet you listen to them and are quoting them here.
The only way to get rid of them is to ignore them. That means no clicking links, no calling and arguing, no support good or bad whatsoever!
Although that hasn't worked for the king of all DBags Borges yet!

I sure hope that isn't the case, PWP, although I will start to share your belief if there are moderate sanctions in the upcoming ruling.

I saw these two dooshbags on CSNE last night, touting their beliefs that the Pats are guilty. Felger is pretty transparent, and he goes so far as to acknowledge that he says crap just to get a rise out of Pats fans - his #1 trolling target. I honestly don't believe he believes some of the stuff he says. I don't agree with much of what Felger says (his playbook is basically take what the majority of Boston fans believe and LOUDLY take the opposite stance), but admittedly he runs a smooth show and usually listens to the other side.

Tanguay, on the other hand, I simply don't understand why he exists on our airwaves. What has Tanguay done to warrant being on the air? No other Boston sports media member screams "look at me! look at my controversial stance! look at me!" louder than this buffoon from Maine. He's horrible on the Pats pre/post game (thankfully he's done), he's abhorrent on CSNNE, he sucked on 98.5...

My hope is this jackhole is gone from our air once his CSNNE contract is up. Gary tanguay offers nothing other than ridiculous bombast, much of which is not based in fact, rhyme, or reason...in plain English, he f#cking sucks...

Yeah, except I don't really listen to them. I caught about two minutes of Tanguay's show and that was on (w/Felger). I never listen to Fleger's radio show for more than a brief minute or two when other channels are on commercial. I've never called. I don't click on links (if they even stoop to actually writing stuff these days). I'm pretty much as unsupportive as it's possible to be in this environment. What is interesting to me though is, when I do listen to any of the radio show the callers all seem to agree with Mike. Which means that either there's a /really/ large segment of 'fans' in the NE area who really really hate their teams, or there are an awful lot of Jets fans with way too much time on their hands.

And that's the other thing that's infuriating about Felger. What is the most likely line up for a Pats discussion on his show? Him, Borges, Shaugnessy and Benz. It makes my head want to explode.

I wonder what it's like to live in a world where environmental science and the laws of thermodynamics don't exist, because that's where Tanguay and Felger have to be from.

98.5 THOROUGHLY screens their callers and there's no guarantee you'll get on the air even if you get through the interrogation. It also doesn't help that half of the callers are all regulars.

Just listen to Zo and Beetle, they actually like the Patriots are since moving to the mid-day show Beetle openly criticizes Felger and Mazz on the air.

It was all in response to the @sshole Benz saying the Patriots should happily accept a fine. I really do not understand why a Spygate conspiracy theorist a-hole is running the mid day show at WEEI, more often than not I just turn them off.
