2015 Pro Days

Was just coming over to post Hunters numbers. I have been very high on him since way back, and these numbers are fantastic. I was hoping for him in the 2nd, now, not sure he makes it to that pick. As far as Rowe goes, I think he is going to get drafted higher than most think. I was late to the party on him, but his numbers are starting to look pretty impressive. I am assuming a top 50 pick for him.

I can't get past the fact that he's so slow at the snap. I like everything else about him but that's a serious worry for me.

Me too, though I'd been mocking him with our 97 comp pick until the rumor board showed that his stock was rising.

Right now my take on the DBs is Marcus Peters / Byron Jones / Kevin Johnson with our first pick (+/- small trade up or down from 32) OR Jalen Collins / Eric Rowe / PJ Williams with our second pick (probably with a trade up from 64). Collins' foot injury + inexperience could cause him to slip a bit.

Collins might fall out of the first, but there is zero chance he makes it past Arizona at 55. He's a perfect fit for their system, and a perfect fit with their current roster and backfield. It would pretty much be all LSU players. That would make a pretty nasty group! Basically what I'm saying is, a trade up would most defiantly be needed to acquire him.

Considering the price of cornerbacks in unrestricted free agency, I could definitely see a run on cornerbacks in the second round.

Holy highlight reel Batman!

Pro Day:

6'3", 213lbs

4.46 forty
6.65 3 cone
4.09 shuttle
36" vert
10'5" Broad

70 catches, 1,196 yards, 13TDs

Watch the highlight reel. Has the catching ability of a #1 receiver with the physicality of a TE. Obvious disclaimers apply, but there's some very impressive stuff at the link below.

I haven't watched him. If you say his highlight film is impressive, I trust your eye. As for his numbers, I've seen them before:

6' 3'1/4" 213#
4.51 forty
6.35 3 cone
4.13 shuttle
41 1/2" vert
10'10" broad

Dale Moss hasn't had a reception.

The numbers are very impressive, but don't mean much to me. The fact that you think his film is impressive - even just a highlight film - carries far more weight for me, personally.

Yeah, this guy is most defiantly on Bill's radar. lol

But on the real, he's got some potential. A lot to work on, but great potential. That inside slant route, along with that ability to pull in balls at the very edge of his catching range would make Brady love this guy. Brady loves to throw that route, and he lik'se to do it even more where he throws it right at the end of the receivers catching radius. This way if it gets deflected or tipped, its usually uncatchable.

I have no idea if the guy can get open at the pro level but what impressed me the most in the video was his hands and body control. Some of those catches on the sidelines weren't easy and he made them seem so and the in traffic ones were very nice as well. He has a great stutter step that he sets the corner up with.

Think he'd have to be able to challenge Tyms. Loved his hands, also liked that he covers up the ball when he was being tackled and wasn't afraid to go over the middle.

I always get jacked when I see big guys with speed, but this guy has great hands as well. Definitely have him as a Binky now. Would love to see BB take him in the 6th round.

Byron Jones with the 4.3 40.

That boy might not be there at 32 anymore.

@PhilAPerry: Patriots college scouting coordinator Brian Smith running the show here. Getting guys moving from event to event.

that is for the Uconn pro day where Byron Jones performed.

Haven't seen it reported yet. Link?

That 40 time had to be expected based on his VJ and BJ.

@PhilAPerry: Jones in the low 4.4s, high 4.3s for his second 40 depending on who's timing. Turns out he's pretty athletic...

6'1 4.4 speed 44.5" vertical

Quite the player to mold

I just watched the highlights. He looks like a guy who can make it in the NFL. I think he plays a little slower than his 4.46 but him being 6'3 215 I expected that. Kind of reminds of me of a mix between Lafell and Edelman. He has great hands and it was not just on all lobs. He caught a few bullets too which is something you want to see.

Just looking at the tape and keeping in mind who he was playing against I'd give him a solid 5th round grade but he has upside. That is partly based on his 1st year will probably be mostly a waste trying to catch up to the NFL game.

Nice breakdown. It was his hands and his willingness to go over the middle that impressed me. Thought he looked smooth too.
