Patriots Reportedly Expected to Re-Sign RB LeGarrette Blount

According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, Blount, who was released by Pittsburgh this week, is reportedly in Foxboro and is expected to re-sign with the Patriots today.

Looking at how the numbers run, isn't Blount's cap hit actually reduced to <$600K? I seem to remember that New England routinely writes contracts to make sure that when the salary is around $750K or so, that the actually cap hit number is around the Veteran minimum or something like that.

The Minimum Salary Benefit only applies to one-year deals. Blount's two-year deal isn't eligible.
