2015 Patriots Draft Contacts

So hard to know how to mock OLs to the Patriots right now. They seem to have make a huge change in approach, yet it hasn't really paid dividends yet.

Agreed. It's also hard to know what the plan for Fleming is. Is he the RG of the future? If not, why did they draft him and then re-sign Cannon? Are we mocking a LG only or a RG too to replace Wendell after next year?

I am scratching my head about Cannon and Fleming. Maybe they ll trade Vollmer. I think he is the best RT and he could be worth a lot.
Ofcourse we dont know anything about Solder situation and i hope they ll make a move this year if they are gonna extend them.
Not resolving Mcourty sitauation last year....he could go cheaper.

Tony Pauline says that we worked out LSU safety Ronald Martin today.

Wow ! Imagine him next to Jones and Easley.

Serious character risk though. Probably undraftable due to domestic violence issues. However:

Irving (6-foot-7 3/4, 273 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.84 seconds on both attempts; he posted a 1.69-second 10-yard split, which is very good. He had a 38-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-8 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.53 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.27 seconds.

Irving has an 87 3/4-inch wingspan, and they say he can tie his shoes while standing up. He had a good workout, went through some bag drills, and is a potential sleeper prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft class. What happens with Irving is an interesting scenario in this draft due to the off-the-field issues that kept him from playing at Iowa State last season.

Those are some fine numbers for someone 6'8".

It's far from my first choice but Eddie Goldman is starting to look like a potential pick now. Not only will he be visiting the Pats but both Patricia and DL coach Brendan Daly went to the FSU pro day.

Private workout by Ivan Fears.

Patriots give CB Trae Waynes closer look in workout. --> http://bit.ly/1IJRlqB

I've been told #Missouri WR Jimmie Hunt had a private workout w/ #Patriots last week - love the fit b/c of his blocking & STs ability.

According to @nfldraftscout, Florida State's Eddie Goldman Has Pre-Draft Visit Scheduled with Patriots - http://bit.ly/19q2PmB

Also, Oliver Thomas has a contact list with some names I haven't seen before.

Jalston Fowler, Alabama (PW)
Tre McBride, William & Mary (PW) - how did I miss this!

Also, whilst we knew Ben Heeney had a private workout at his pro day with the Pats, apparently it was with Steven Belichick.

BB and Caserio were both present for the Maryland pro day.

In light of the possible Grady Jarrett interest, I'd just like to point out that BB/Caserio were present for the Maryland pro day (Darius Kilgore), Caserio at Stanford (David Parry), BB at Auburn (Angelo Blackson) - all two down run defenders. I wonder if there's a plan to double dip with the three down guy early in the draft and the run defender later.

Interest in S Carolina RB Mike Davis looks to strong.

Yeah, I'm looking at NT & 3-tech DT as two separate positions in this draft -- much as we would talk about a deep safety vs. an in-the-box safety. IMO an apples-to-apples comparison of players like Eddie Goldman and Grady Jarrett doesn't really make sense. (Though there are some players who don't neatly fit one DT category or the other, like Davis and Hardison.)

Shout out to @manxman2601 who is holding down the fort with these updates. And I just liked about 20 of your updates so I totally wrecked your alert feed.

Hahahah, keep up the awesome work bud

New England Patriots privately worked out Geremy Davis/WR/UConn yesterday...

From Tony Pauline. Davis didn't drop a pass all season apparently.

Not that it's much of a surprise, but it was Josh Boyer, the DB coach, that was present for Byron Jones' pro day.
