Your sarcasm detector isn't finely tuned enough for my attempt here, apparently.
Your tone didn't imply sarcasm, not even in the slightest. Either way, my point stands, even if it should be directed elsewhere.

Breathe, relax. That's why I called it "my attempt"...I took at least half the responsibility.

And the attempt at humor in the paragraph afterward was another attempt at breadcrumbs.

He included a version of the old joke:

"Doctor, will I be able to play the piano after this injury heals?"
"Yes."
"Great! I've never been able to play the piano before."

If nothing else, that should have been your clue that he was less than serious. :)

I've got a torn labrum right now and I don't need 6-7 months to go back to work. He needs to man up.

And, a physical therapist at my gym said that I'd be able to "get right back out there and do a tri" just 4 months from the surgery. That is some amazing surgery. I couldn't "do a tri" without the surgery even with a year's training. I'm going to have it twice to see what that'll do for me.

Is that like a 3 way?

signing Jabaal Sheard means he dose not have to rush back and can take less snaps for the first half of the season

Must be a Yankee thing.

This is how we joke down under:

Points out why any discussion of Mayo being traded is ludicrous..

Fortunately they have refined this surgery.. I had similar surgery in the early 80's, took forever to heal. It was a much different, grosser procedure.. arthroscopic surgery was not even a consideration then.

What a weird "news" story. The Herald reported the 6-7 month estimate back on Feb. 21, and Hightower's likely absence for game 1 has been referenced repeatedly in all of the Mayo discussions.

So, anybody think the Jets might make a run at Revis?

Hightower will be ready for OTAs. Book it.
You don't mess with shoulders.

Providing Mayo comes back, the LB core with Sheard, Collins and maybe Fleming if he makes the team can keep the boat afloat until he is truly ready.

Eh let's keep Sheard on the line and move Nink if we have to move somebody.

It does stand to reason that until he acquires a more advanced understanding of the pass defense and while HT is out, Sheard should play on the line more than Nink. With that said, neither player is as good in space as HT, which is a concern.

Sheard is not a LB

He played through a lot. Heck of a player and warrior... glad the team made the journey worth it.

He had the game winning tackle before The Butler Did It.

I can't answer that question. I'm not wearing a Tamperon.

Not sure where you are getting that, Andy. Here, he'll play DE in the 4-3 for sure but might see OLB as well

His DC in CLE also considered him a OLB. Check it out.

Browns defensive coordinator Jim O'Neil said toward the end of the 2014 campaign that Sheard was the team's best run-stopper at outside linebacker, per the Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich:

I think after June the Comp picks are no longer affected? If so, we may be waiting until then to sign Dane Fletcher back to the Pats. I, also, would not count out a LB trade or a draft pick. However, the simplest answer is Fletcher, who is available, inexpensive and knows the system. I'm not sure why Tampa hasn't resigned him.

We have two really interesting LB prospects on the roster in James Morris and Cameron Gordon. They both got put on IR last year. That said, I could still see us drafting an LB given BPA and all that.

If Belichick drafts a LB in either the first or second rounds, I'm going to go outside, get a brick, and fire it through my TV.
