Sigh. Kraft still backing Goodell

I seem to remember an issue about camera placement in 2007 that cost the Pats a first round pick and enormous fines and whom Kraft supported then.

I see little evidence that Goodell is responsible for the successful agreement of the CBA or was instrumental in the TV contract. I recall Kraft needing to get involved to get each done. In fact the NFLPA rep credited Kraft as the one who resolved the impasse.

I see no reason that this buffoon is worth $40M because nobody better could be found who could do that job.

Looks like Kraft is all-in on whatever scheme is being hatched to scapegoat someone and leave Roger untouched. From Chris Price's story today:

Boooooo, Mr. Kraft. Boooooo!
Basic tactics. Leave a route for retreat to prevent your enemy from fighting to the death. Besides, according to Tom Curran the problem started with Goodell's way too top heavy office.

I forget where I read it but Roger might use this to fire all the politically connected guys that feel so untouchable that they leak stories when Goodell just wants the story to go away

Which makes Felgers assertion that Goodell's afraid to come down on Kraft regarding deflategate laughable. He's already giving himself an out when the Pats are found innocent.

At his press conf today Wed 25 March corporate tool Roger Goodell said there's no timeframe for the Wells report because we want to get it right.

So, maybe the 3rd week of training camp?

It's the return of ol'get along Bob. I guess the Jets alumni club doesn't have to fear the wrath of Kraft anymore. We shall see if the Pats receive anything other than a screwing for his capitulation.

"Piece in our time!"
