2015 Pro Days

Terry williams tore his hammy doing the 40 yard dash at his pro day. Terrible luck and very disappointing.

From Tony Pauline yesterday:
I'm waiting for more information on defensive back Eric Rowe, but I can confirm something that I've been told over the past few weeks; Rowe is flying up draft boards and most feel there's no way he gets out of the second round. I'm told the Philadelphia Eagles are very high on Rowe, who's drawing intrigue based on his size/speed and ability to line-up at either cornerback or safety.

Disappointing, but surprising. If the Pats don't go CB in the 1st, I wouldn't be unhappy about taking Rowe in the 2nd.

All too expected, alas. Rowe seems like a clear cut above the rest of the "2nd tier" dbs, especially to a team that hopes to play press coverage. I was already assuming he'd be long gone before the Pats' 3rd.

Me too, though I'd been mocking him with our 97 comp pick until the rumor board showed that his stock was rising.

Right now my take on the DBs is Marcus Peters / Byron Jones / Kevin Johnson with our first pick (+/- small trade up or down from 32) OR Jalen Collins / Eric Rowe / PJ Williams with our second pick (probably with a trade up from 64). Collins' foot injury + inexperience could cause him to slip a bit.

New name for you guys. Patriots are at NW Missouri's pro day today. There's a CB prospect there called Travis Manning who is 6' and put up an 11'3" BJ and ran 4.35.

I'd like to take claim for this one but I cobbled this together from Twitter, particularly David Hsu. I've since learned that he'll turn 26 this year so a little less interesting.

By the way, as a public service announcement, @DavidHsuSeattle, @jaredstanger and @zjwhitman are must follows for later round prospects. They are all Seahawks guys very much tuned in to the Seahawks draft model.

Too modest. I insist:

I always said you were a veritable "Hsu's Hsu" when it came to finding prospects. :p

Thank you. I definitely want one of those for Marcus Hardison - that was a lonely love affair for months.

You were just too far ahead of the curve on that one. I'm ashamed to have taken so long to catch on.

Ha! Many thanks.

It was incredible how long it took the draft experts so long to cotton on. The ONLY other person I saw talk about him as a potential draftee before the senior bowl was Jared Stanger. I get that he was a one hit wonder but he was very productive and had great size/athleticism and played for a prominent school. Would have thought that someone would have picked up on him.

Was just coming over to post Hunters numbers. I have been very high on him since way back, and these numbers are fantastic. I was hoping for him in the 2nd, now, not sure he makes it to that pick. As far as Rowe goes, I think he is going to get drafted higher than most think. I was late to the party on him, but his numbers are starting to look pretty impressive. I am assuming a top 50 pick for him.
