Revis Speaks: Pats Not In Ball Park And More.

the pats front office sees things for what they really are......the pats were a bizarre play call away from losing the SB........a play that could have gone either way.......

what types of conversations would these be at this time if the outcome was different?

the point is that that one play is not going to change a players value

the jets guaranteed a 30 year old CB $40M .... maybe it works out well for them, but the laws of average say he will not earn that money

Hmmm, I wonder when the Pats found out how much other teams were willing to offer him?

Need to move on from Revis.. he played great here, but ultimately he chose more money in New York.. we will see how this plays out in 2-3 years.

It is what it is, if not we sound like the soreasses from the Meadowlands..

Whore24 played well here, and he was paid to do that. I don't recall anytime during the regular season or the playoffs that I saw "great" play. He made a contribution to the team that won the Super Bowl. I did see great play by several other Patriots players, including the greatest play by UDFA Malcomb Butler

I have moved on from Whore24, believe me. But, I do believe in calling him what he is, a whore. I don't think there is another player in the NFL who has his history of being a whore.

Every other player that has left the Patriots in FA I have wished them well ( with the exception of Welker) because I understand that they need to make $ given the short amount of time they have.

I just we should be all grateful that Whore24's agent, Sean Gilbert, did not get elected president of the NFLPA . There would be no CBA without a long strike.

So those are the non-soreass facts.

Do you think it would have mattered? You're talking about a team that assigns value to a player then doesn't move off that spot no matter what. I doubt Revis was any different.

I clicked like on this because I agree with the Whore24 sentiment in its entirety. However, I do disagree with the notion about "great" play. He was absolutely the shutdown corner we hoped for. Thought he played better than any other CB last season.

According to Mike Reiss it didn't matter what the Pats offered him because somehow the Pats knew the Jets were going to beat their offer.

ps. I personally don't think the Jets offer was crazy money.

Does "Whore#24" apply to Ty Law as well?

I am happy the Patriots did what they did in regards to that money grubber Mevis I bet he has invested in some really nice Golf clubs because over the next three years he will be playimg early and often. Don't blow a knee out Revis 39 Million fat ones should definitely make it feel better.

There really wasn't a juggernaut WR for Revis to stick on throughout the playoffs out of the three teams the Pats played. During the season, when he faced a WR1, he usually limited them a lot or outright shut them down. Megatron, Jordy Nelson (except one play where Revis was in off man), Keenan Allen, and Alshon Jeffrey/Brandon Marshall are all examples. He did his job here and did it well.

I hope the Pats organization makes a REALLY big deal when they give Revis his SB ring. Hopefully, they get the Jets at home early in the season on a primetime nationally-televised game and roll out the circus animals and fireworks just to rub it in the Jet's faces.

No. But thanks for playing.
Did Ty hold out 3 times when he was with the Patriots? Did the Patriots trade him to a loser because they got sick of his holdouts?

Here's a scenario lets say troubled WR *Dorial Green-Beckham 6-5 237 4.49 40 dash makes it out of the First in a slight Trade in he Second I would love for us to select him. With his remarkable catch radius I would love to see Revis try to cover this guy over the next three years. My money is on Dorial Green-Beckham!

No. But thanks for playing.

Wow... how bad do the Bucs have to be to consider being traded from the JETS as going to a "loser" :D

This is not true . Devin McCourty was saying goodbye to BB and he increased the proposal.

Revis is what he is. When he gets injured in the next two years and the Jets cut him after the first two years of his mega-deal are up, maybe he can come back to a winner.

No. But thanks for playing.

Huh? Did Revis do that on the Pats?? If this is about what Revis did when he was with the Jets then I guess you were calling him Whore24 while he was helping the Pats win a SB.

@PATSNUTme what was there to dislike about this post? What I described was the way they do business with FA's. We've seen it time and time again.

I think it's pretty embarrasing for this messageboard to have a moderator that goes around here and calls former Patriots player "whore".

That doesn't mean that the Pats didn't assign a value to him from the get-go. All it means is that they tried to low ball him at first. And no, I'm not saying "low ball" in a negative manner.

Have you considered the damage to a franchise if something happened to a non-qb that was guaranteed 39 million over the first 3 years? Because if you have, you would understand that it is crazy money.
