Interesting that Revis talks about being around Bill long enough to understand his sense of humor.

So tired of hearing about Whore24 and his money. Money, money, money. Blah, blah, blah. Go enjoy your life of excess, Darrelle, and shut up about it.

Yup and it's funny when Revis was in TB & NE Jets fans were saying exactly what you posted and now they love him.

I'm still laughing about the Jets fans who burned his jersey.

lol I can see them stompin on fire now, gotta luv it though, Revis goes back with a SB win with Pats. CLASSIC!

The pats never overpay for anybody, not even Tom Brady, who is the GOAT. I'm not sure what people were expecting regarding a non-GOAT player.

Sonofab, tch. I knew they should have thrown in the pony!

Revis signed that contract with Jets without wearin a mask. That kind of money/contract won't go over here with BB.

both sides were winners Revis got 17 million and a ring and he give the pats just a nuff talent to get off the field on 3rd down, but paying him any more then 12 million per IMO was never a option

Mevis says we weren't in the ball-park with our contract offer.....and didn't give him ludicrous guaranteed money...........:eek:Shocker

Taking less to achieve more is something players like Revis will never get.....you don't think Marino in hindsight would give up millions for just 1 Lombardi. I guess winning isn't contagious

Again when Sheldon Richardson isn't retained and a premier QB can't be obtained (they can't draft one worth ****e) I'll laugh.....in the meanwhile the Pats can retain their core of drafted young stars together(Jones, Hightower, Collins) and have found a gem in Garoppolo. Plus flexibility gained by not carrying an albatross contract like that.

Not sure why anyone thought he would be offered more than the $12 million he was paid for 2014.

Doubt he was even offered 10-12 million a year going forward.

Yeah, it was probably foolish to think we even had a shot at outbidding the jets.. And it sounds like we may have not even tried very hard. Our best and perhaps only chance at keeping revis was picking up the option. Oh well, what's done is done.

I wouldn't doubt that we offered him $14M a year, because the Patriots do usually pay top rates for top players. But Revis got $16M from the Jets, and with guarantees that are just very risky to give to someone at his age.

Thank goodness Garoppolo didn't throw a hissy fit and fire his agent after not going first overall. Otherwise he may have been a Jet.

Need to move on from Revis.. he played great here, but ultimately he chose more money in New York.. we will see how this plays out in 2-3 years.

It is what it is, if not we sound like the soreasses from the Meadowlands..

Revis got $12 million here. Seven against the cap last year and five this year.

Agree. But they better find a way to get off the field on 3rd down.
