2015 Pro Days

It's being reported that Breshad Perriman ran in the 4.2s at his pro day. Have to think he might get bumped into the first round with that speed - he's been borderline for some anyway.

The more 1st round WRs the better, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm more interested in the UCF CB, Glenn. ANY news on him?

It's Cassius Sendish's pro day today. He's my favourite late round safety for those that don't know. There's no full list of numbers yet but here's what I have so dar:

Forty: 4.41 to 4.44
VJ: 37"
3.cone: no official number for today but in his final preparation yesterday, he ran a 6.5 and a 6.56. The best by a safety at the combine was 6.70.

Another Jayhawk, CB Dexter McDonald is listed at 6'1", 200lbs and jumped a 44" vert, 11'2" broad and ran a 4.35 forty. No information on agility numbers.

Also, from Tony Pauline:

But the big story at the Kansas pro-day is the performance of a receiver from Pittsburg State.

Gavin Lutman was a bit of an unknown to scouts as he was unable to attend junior timing day a year ago while Pittsburg State figured out his eligibility. On the field in 2014, Lutman produced 70 receptions for 1,196 yards and 13 scores.

At today's workout, Lutman turned heads with his testing numbers. His measurements were 6-3, 214 pounds, and he then went on to touch 36 inches in the vertical jump, 10-5 in the broad jump and time 4.46 seconds in the 40. Lutman's 3-cone drill was a swift 6.65 seconds and, he was timed at 4.09 seconds in the short shuttle.

Scouts were evidently beside themselves as to not even ranking Lutman through the season. Compared to Jon Brown, the former Pittsburg State star coming off to a tremendous rookie campaign in the NFL, scouts say Lutman, though slower, has a size advantage and is more natural catching at the ball.

Comparing Damarious Randall and Cassius Sendish (Randall in brackets).

Ht: 6'* (5'10")
Wt: 195* (196)

40: 4:41 (4.46)
VJ: 37" (38")
BJ: 9'10" (10")
SS: 4.16 (4.06)
3cone: 6.90 (6.83)

Note:

* I don't have official HT/WT for Sendish from his pro-day so I'm using his listed numbers.

My concern for Sendish was that he wouldn't have NFL worthy athletic numbers but he clearly has. Considering the lesser need at safety currently, I'd quite happily take Sendish over Randall considering their similarities athletically and physically.

Davis Tull, he of the 42.5 VJ and 11' BJ at the combine ran a 4.57 at his pro day. More interestingly, he apparently had a 1.52 10 yard split. For comparison's sake, Vic Beasley had a best of 1.59 at the combine. An even better comparison might be the flying WR Phillip Dorsett who had a 1.54.

His pro day was March 2, but Davis Tull reportedly had a 1.52 10-split to go with a 4.57 VJ and his combine numbers (11' BJ, 42" VJ). That makes him very interesting from an athletic perspective. He played mostly on the DL at Tennessee-Chattanooga and has fairly good combat skills. If he could learn to play in space to the degree that his athletic abilities suggest, he'd potentially be another Jamie Collins.

I was typing my Davis Tull post as yours came across. :p

He's also getting labrum repair later this week, so he won't be available to the team til July/august.

Not the end of the world, but will put some cold water on an impressive day.

i'd like to know if there are any agility numbers for him but looking on the internet, it appears his hamstring tightened at his pro day so maybe he didn't do those tests. Wasn't a fan of his film but he's interesting as a day 3 pick for linebacker.

I get the feeling he would be a much better off the line backer. He already has great anticipation and movement. Having a hand in the dirt doesn't make much sense to me.

He only has 31.5" arms so that makes being a permanent EDGE player unlikely. An off-line linebacker who can blitz off the edge sounds about right. Does he have the agility to play off line though?

He played almost exclusively at DE in college, which may be good in terms of developing his ability to take on blockers. But his athleticism is best suited to playing in space.

Almost like a certain retired Patriot.

A comparison of Davis Tull and Vic Beasley, athletically speaking:

Height: Tull 6' 2" / Beasley 6' 3"
Weight: Tull 246# / Beasley 246#
Arm Length: Tull 31 1/2" / Beasley 32 1/2"
40: Tull 4.57 (with a bad hammy) / Beasley 4.53
10-Split: Tull 1.52 / Beasley 1.59
SS: Tull 4.21 / Beasley 4.15
3-Cone: Tull 6.76 / Beasley 6.91
VJ:Tull 42.5" / Beasley 41'
BJ: Tull 11' / Beasley 10' 10"
225: Tull 26 / Beasley 35

I'm interested in two other UCF players. JJ Worton -WR. Is he a bigger Edelman? And,Terrance Plummer ILB.

It's being reported that Breshad Perriman ran in the 4.2s at his pro day.

Christ, Jesus. 40 Yards in less'n 420??

I don't know if I could manage that off the side'f a Cliff.

He did it, low 4.4! Hopefully he goes with out of our late rounders. id be content if we used our 6th. Keeping my fingers crossed. So much potential
