Duron Harmon there as well. Only good signs coming from the kid. Very encouraging.

Yeah I think he will overtake Chung this year as the starter with McCourty. He is a better fit in a scheme that is more zone oriented. I actually think Harmon and Wilson will be major contributors this upcoming season, Wilson can play CB in a zone against certain WR/TE types.

Brady & McCourty define leadership and what it means on this team....

With Revis and Browner both gone it really makes McCourty the "QB" of the secondary... So it's great to see him getting things going early with Tom. Shows real leadership which I have grown to appreciate from him. The fact that Harmon has joined too speaks volumes about his work ethic... He could be a gem yet.

People could look at me like I'm crazy, but if it works out, a starting CB trio of Fletcher-Butler-Arrington and McCourty-Harmon could be a real solid unit. It's not going to be top 10, I don't think, but it could be middle-of-the-pack.

Although I've thought you were crazy for a while, this post isn't part of the reason why.

What makes you say that???:confused::confused::p:p:p

Anyone know the point of the rule that coaches can't talk to players during this time?

Not for nothing, but I actually met Malcom Butler late saturday night/early sunday morning In the North End. Whether hes been working out in Foxboro or not I dunno, but hes def in town.

There isn't enough doom and gloom on this thread. Quick someone whine that we have Gost 4.5 million that could have gone to Revis

$4.5M for arguably the best kicker in the league, so could probably kick for another decade? I'll take it.

Still don't understand why we had to use the franchise tag to pay Gostkowski more than any other PK in the NFL buy nearly $500K. Did they even offer him a contract cause it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Once a coach starts talking to a player, that's going down a rabbit hole pretty hard to get out of, and before you know it, it's a 365/24/7 season.

It's an union rule designed to protect players and to give them a healthy break from the grind to recharge and heal. It's the union's belief that this helps lengthen playing careers. Also allows players to go back to school and finish their degrees.

Middle-of-the-pack is probably the ceiling for this group. I don't want to think about a floor.

Points allowed will tell the story next year

A couple of talented pass-rushers would help our secondary look good next year. I just haven't heard any rumors of adding any....yet.

Yes, definitely want another pass rusher

1.BB knew that would not have money to signRevis.
2. McCourty price range was in the Tag range
3. Gostkowski number will be his extension number, not the tag number.
