2015 Patriots Draft Contacts

Further to the above from Tony Pauline:

Several have told me David Parry was the big winner and looked exceptional in all the drills. I can confirm it was Nick Caserio who met with Parry for a few hours yesterday. I was also told Parry was one of the Raiders' targets today. Given the need for defensive tackles in the league and the overall lack of depth at the position in this year's draft, the feeling leaving Stanford's pro day was Parry could sneak into the third round.

Also, from the same source:

The New England Patriots were the only team on hand for Maine's pro day. Cornerback Axel Ofori measured 5-10 1/8 and 195 pounds, timed 4.56 and 4.58 seconds in the 40, and touched 40-inches in the vertical jump.

It starts:

— Multiple area scouts remarked to me about Wake Forest's Kevin Johnson, and how he's solidly put himself into the first round conversation with a great Combine and Pro Day. I did hear from one team, though, that doesn't like Johnson as much because their general manager saw him live during the season and questioned Johnson's slight frame.

— Speaking of Johnson, I'm told by a league source he has visits lined up with the San Diego Chargers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers.

I think they may be looking at olinemen

I keep wondering how much value the team puts on these individual players. Obviously they love Bud Dupree (binkie) but if AJ cann is there too who would they take?

Hopefully Dupree. Idk where he would fit but I'd still take him lol.

#IowaState dismissed senior DL David Irving worked out for #Bears, #Cowboys, #Chiefs, #Patriots, #Giants, #Raiders and #Seahawks. #NFL

Interesting prospect

Also, Patriots are at the Fresno State Pro Day, perhaps to see Tyeler Davison, Josh Harper, and Derron Smith.

Also at Duke and UCF (Belichick).

@HardyNFL: #KUfball LB Ben Heeney says him and CB JaCorey Shepherd have private workouts with #Bucs (3/27) and #Patriots (3/31) lined up.

I am just glad they are having a closer look at him. Probably means nothing, but I think the fit makes a lot of sense.

Still early, but some interesting patterns:

1. Looking at two types of DT, namely a NT type (Blackson, Mbu, Parry) or a 3-tech (Wright, RNR, Jarrett?).

2. Recent interest in Heeney and Dawson might be informative

3. Looks like they're looking at the 320b-ish OGs: Tre Jackson, Terrence Jones, Junior Salt, Bobby Hart, Laken Tomlinson.

4. 6'1" plus Wrs are getting a look-see but then there always seems to be a lot of perceived interest in WRs every year that doesn't always come to fruition.

3. Looks like they're looking at the 320b-ish OGs: Tre Jackson, Terrence Jones, Junior Salt, Bobby Hart, Laken Tomlinson.

So hard to know how to mock OLs to the Patriots right now. They seem to have make a huge change in approach, yet it hasn't really paid dividends yet.
