Maybe not, but the Pats and Jets will be at least trading picks in a round. I think they could be trading third round picks. That much is a definite. Johnson clearly tampered. Kraft is questionable at best. History has shown that the teams will be swapping draft picks in the Pats favor.

Florio who is the champion of the league getting harder on tampering clearly thinks the Jets are chasing windmills on this one:

In December, Johnson said he’d like to bring Revis back, at a time the contract Revis signed with the Patriots was nearing its conclusion. On Monday, Kraft said wanted to keep Revis, two weeks after Revis signed a multi-year deal with $39 million fully guaranteed to play for the Jets. While the Jets may see this as a goose/gander situation, the circumstances are fundamentally different.

Indeed, Johnson said he wanted to bring back Revis at a time when Revis was under contract with the Patriots. Kraft merely said he had wanted to keep Revis after Revis left for another team.

Your team has commited the biggest tampering scandal In the history of the league.
Your team should be severely punished.
A 1st is the just course of action anything less than a 2 is a joke.
Then your classless joke of a team filed tampering charges to hope it all goes away all Kraft did was speak in the past tense.

Your team has the 6th pick in the draft because your team is a ****ty NFL bottom feeder. I see no reason why it shouldn't go to a premier organization like the World Champion New England Patriots, since your ****ty irrelevant nothing team will waste it anyway.

I would be so pissed if we don't get the Jets pick due to this crap.

This is perhaps the jets attempt to soften or even nullify the punishment they are about to get - i.e., hoping goodell will go easy on them now that the pats "tampered" as well.

I fear even the posts that make the best arguments can't convince me anything major is coming the Patriots' way...

As much as I would love the commish to show consistency, there is just SO little evidence of him doing so at any point of his reign. I know the Bears swapping 2s seems to set a precedent or, at least, a starting point. But does anyone think precedent even enters RG's line of thinking ? Lately, he has been bungling and mishandling almost every single issue.

Thank goodness NE won the SB. I can't imagine being this frustrated so early after that win. I'm almost embarassed I don't enjoy it more.
