Pro-Bowl in Brazil

Ship players (who'd rather not go) to a foreign country to play a weak, watered-down version of the game for people who don't understand it. Another incredibly stupid idea -- aside from continuing the Pro B0wl. Smells like another R. Stokoe Goodell initiative.

I might watch if they played on the moon. LOL

I usually don't even watch the Pro Bowl, but i got really excited for this lol

If any of you show up in Rio, let me know, I'll give you a ride through town :)

I honestly feel like it would be more profitable to have an abroad pro bowl, since it is more of a "festivity" than a game.

Maybe the NFL is thinking if they move the Pro Bowl to another country they'll find people who are actually interested in watching it.

Yeah, that's the part that totally makes no sense. If it was Sydney, Australia or San Juan, Puerto Rico, I'd be like, OK, I can see that.

Brazil?

Agreed with everything you said, but id much rather them make the Pro Bowl international rather than the Super Bowl.

Play the PB in different cities across the globe. Leave the SB to American cities.

To be honest, Football has been growing A LOT here recently. We already have our own league with 20 plus teams and a federation. Some traditional soccer clubs are even financing an affiliated football team (it's funny that my soccer team -Vasco- has created a football team called Vasco Patriotas, which means Vasco Patriots, obviously )

I honestly feel like it's very possible to fill the Maracana. I would love it

Lol. Avoid scandal by sending the players to a league sanctioned event in the capital of world sex tourism. This has Goodell written all over it.

I honestly wasn't trying to slight the great people of Brazil, so I hope you didn't take it that way:). Just my first knee-jerk reaction was to raise and eyebrow.

Didn't know that. Thanks for sharing.

It really is a shame that the ProBowl has become Must-Not-See TV. Hopefully the folks in Brazil enjoy it.

Don't worry, i didn't take anything by it. ;)

Brazil doesn't really come to mind when talking about this kind of football anyway. If the Pro bowl indeed comes here, hopefully we will change that

I don't really understand the *****ing about removing the pro bowl from the fan's perspective. If you don't like it then just don't watch it.

If they must have it in a foreign land, do it in London and take back the regular season games to the US. Who really gives a crap what they do with the Pitiful Bowl!

Not sure if you saw, but the London games will only be viewable outside of the participating media markets, through digital media. It won't be available on Sunday ticket either.

Oh ya...Brazil is a very safe country

Normally I can say this wouldn't be the worst idea in the world but honestly this kind of seems like the worst idea in the world. Who would go to the game?

As someone who practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and watches the UFC, I have to say that this is actually a brilliant move. Brazilians are an insanely passionate people and if you can get a foot hold there, you will make a lot of money. You can bet the farm that the NFL wants to spread the product to our Southern neighbors just as much as the Brits.
