I know this isn't breaking news but thought it was worthy of a thread. The Indianapolis Colts are literally the most embarrassing joke organization in sports besides the Jets. Their rule proposal sounds like the result of too many bong hits; it's as bad as that movie Base-ketball. Hey, let's just change the entire nature of the game for the heck of it.

The Colts proposed a rule change for consideration by the NFL Competition Committee in allowing teams who successfully convert a two-point conversion attempt to have a chance at another point on a field goal try from midfield.

Colts are only relevant because they got arguably the two best pure NFL superstar lock QBs in the last twenty years. They got both of them because in the last seasons they weren't handed a superstar QB, they finished 32nd out of 32 teams both times. Their owner is a real doozie, never having done anything besides inheriting his father's money, stealing married women, getting DUIs, and trying to smear the names of great men who embarrass his football team. Oh, and he poses as a great philanthropist after profiting from the city's stadium that is paid for 85% by public taxes. As if the Patriots are the one whose success should be questioned on grounds of legitimacy.

LOL, why did they stop there? Maybe if the midfield 2nd PAT is successful, they should receive the ensuing kick-off too.

I understand that you have to start brainstorming to come up with good rule changes, but seriously?

I support this just because it's so stupid I'd love to see it in action and read people's outrage.

I'm actually for it.

Then we can add an upper cross bar making it a rectangular hoop. Then we can set the hoop on fire. Then the kicker can put his head in a lion's mouth.

The possibilities are endless.

I got more ideas but I have to find my crack pipe first.

Ya sounds like something a dome team would propose.

But let's get nuts with it. Let's make it if a team goes for 2pt conv. makes it and misses the FG the TD doesn't count and the opposing team gets 3 points and takes over from the spot of the FG.

The worse the team, the more it benefits from crazy rule changes—especially rule changes that increase the role of chance.

Wonder if the committee is gonna build upon that inappropriate language towards an official rule...

Hope he was kidding.

of course, anything that belichick proposes the competition committee does not like because they are not as smart as he is and cannot see his wisdom in the rule change.

Didn't BB get the "taller goal posts" rule passed?
