Unveiled! The team's new uniform:

Four top 100 picks this year and four additional picks next year too. They can get younger still.

The idea that we were the youngest team to win the Superbowl is a complete myth

Try 5. Our first 3 Rders plus the comp and the Tampa pick (which should be like #101). If we end up swapping 4th with the Jest for tampering we'd be in line for pick #104 (I'm using the OTC projection to tabulate-http://overthecap.com/last-call-on-the-2015-compensatory-pick-projections/).

That would be 6 in the top 104.

As a permanent resident in the draft forum I should have probably known that. I counted on my hand and everything.

Yeah, it is the same thing, in the context of the point being made.

Some journalists were calculating the average age with the caveat of excluding Brady and wilfork, and once one does something like that, they can pretty much say anything

...and they are getting younger and faster on both sides of the ball in 2015.

And this is what really matters. If you look at this team overall they are young, have an abundance of talent, and are poised to be a top team for the foreseeable future. They have needs and aren't yet a complete team for 2015 but they won't be much older when this seasons team is completed and they will have plenty of experience playing together. I'm looking forward to see what moves Belichick makes to round this team out. And while the AFCE is clearly stronger now than they were at seasons end they will still have their work cut out for them getting post the Patriots to win the division.

And that doesn't count the high pick they will be getting from the Jets.

I don't think Roger goes much above and beyond his previous rulings. A swap of 4ths is what I'm predicting.

Based on what? I haven't seen one fact based argument that this is anything less than a high draft choice case of tampering. Every statement that it will be a mid round pick is simply based on a "because it is Goodell" argument, not one has looked at prior sanctions and the level of tampering. There has never been a worse case of tampering in league history and I have outlined the reasons repeatedly. If someone can show how the 49ers/Bears Briggs case was worse and justify lesser sanctions in this case I would be interested to see it.

Go for it......

2 previous cases. The Briggs case and the Cunningham case are the precedents. There is absolutely no history of a team simply getting awarded another teams draft choice in a tampering case. In both cases teams swapped draft picks.

That is a FACT.

And THE FACT IS that this case is far worse and whether it's a swap or a straight pick it's worth far more than the Briggs case.

1) The 49ers weren't on notice from a previous tamper that year

The Jets were on notice from a previous tamper that year

2) The 49ers had trade discussions with the Bears and were in contact with the NFL Management Council.

The Jets and Patriots had no contact and there was no trade in the works.

3) Woody Johnson publicly tampered with Revis

The 49ers never publicly tampered with Briggs.

4) The 49ers are not in the same division as the Bears.

The Jets are a Division rival.

5) The 49ers never leaked discussions of high level talks to land Briggs.

The Jets not only leaked that they were in discussions about signing Revis they leaked the exact details of the deal that was signed.

6) The 49ers never signed Lance Briggs,

The Jets signed Revis within hours of him becoming a free agent to a front loaded deal the Patriots couldn't possibly match.

7) Lance Briggs is a good player who has made a few Pro Bowls

Darelle Revis is almost certainly a first ballot HOF caliber player and a top 2 defensive player in the AFC

There is no comparison, this case is far far worse.

Feel free to make a case for a 4th rounder, I have made my case.

And for the record that isn't a case for a forth rounder it is simply a note that prior sanctions were swaps. I'll take the 6 for the 32..
