Pats Board Mock Draft thread

I could go with Collins or Jones. They both have talent that intrigues me.

Jalen Collins (LSU- CB) had his foot operated on this past Thursday by Dr. Bob Anderson in North Carolina. Should be ready for mini camp.

As per Gil brants twitter.
Was not aware of this that changes things.

Looks quick enough on tape and his projected speed is sub 4.5 which is all that is needed but we shall have to wait until his pro day for that.
If that's true about his speed then I'd rate him over Collins.

New vote:
Byron Jones (5)
TJ Clemmings (3)
Jalen Collins (1)

Does he have enough speed and doesn't Jones have a lack of experience at corner too?

Has anyone shown that combination of explosion and COD and then ran a slow forty? I'd be very surprised if he runs slower than 4.5. But until he was pro day, it's all projectable. He certainly shouldn't be penalised for his speed.

Jalen Collins has 10 starts in his college career, Jones has 39 including 12 at safety.

1. Byron Jones
2. Kevin Johnson
3= TJ Clemmings
3= Jake Fisher

Sorry, but I can't leave Clemmings out.

1) TJ Clemmings
2) Byron Jones
3) Jalen Collins

Based off scounting reports here (thanks everyone for your hard work!) and not my own eyes.... I'm leaning towards Manx' side here - Collins seems to have the higher upside, but everything I've read about Jones seems to hit what the Patriots like, and he has good upside himself.

Collins is very interesting, I won't deny that but I just feel that Jones and Johnson are the safer bets and are more athletic than Collins anyway (still waiting on Jones' forty).

Same I am changing mine too

Byron Jones (5)
TJ Clemmings (3)
Jalen Collins (1)

I like both Collins and Byron a ton. Can't go wrong with either. I will go with the healthier one I was not aware of the recent injury and i don't want a rookie CB to fall behind. It will be hard enough without that.

Byron Jones
TJ Clemmings
Cameron Erving

Foot injury puts Collins in play at #64.

Still surprised at the lack of interest in Johnson, especially as he's visiting, but I'll take the conversions to Jones. Good job everyone.

Kevin Johnson is good but I just put the other 2 ahead of him. If they pick him I will not be upset.

Haven't done a lot of research or watched any film on him. I just looked at his combine numbers and I am intrigued, I will do more work on him as he could be someone I would mock.

Seems pretty safe to say we can call this for Byron Jones - CB right?

Oh I have interest. Jones just edges him slightly IMO

I think he may be the most developed of them all and he's scheme versatile but I think he's a better zone and off-man guy whereas I think Jones has the versatility to play all schemes but will be a better press guy than Johnson. Jones is also that little bit bigger which is why I give him the edge.

I would think we would take the best cb here if this scenario played out. Either Collins, Jones or Johnson. I also think Erving would be in play here as well since all the top defensive tackles are off the board.
