No question. No doubt, just read this board and there is more than enough evidence that it caused many to lose their minds.

After all the punishments are meted out, the Jets penalty if any will swap of positions in a mid round and loss of low round draft choice. I say if because the New York media which the Jets alumni club which runs the NFL listens to is clamoring for forgiveness not a punishment. In Goodell's NFL, the only team that has received and will continue to receive disproportionate punishment is the Pats. We will see what happens when the wells report and Jets tampering report come out and what Goodell does with them.
One other thing to remember: Goodell serves at the owners' pleasure. And Kraft is not pleased with Goodell right now.
And, reportedly, plenty of owners are jealous of NE and (one might reasonably assume) would love to see NE get screwed. I wouldn't put all that much hope for justice in "Kraft is not pleased with Goodell".
After all like 7 violations Jets committed, they should be punished and Revis' contract should be voided.
Fair enough for this time, wouldn't be fair because there isn't a precedent for it. But I think in future cases it should be considered. It's not like the player isn't involved in the tampering. It wouldn't matter Woody would just increase his offer and the NFLPA would never agree to the idea of limiting the teams a player can sign with, especially if it takes the highest bidder out of the equation. Better to simply take the Jets first rounder and award it to the Patriots for the Jets repeated tampering with the Patriots HOF caliber cornerback.
SUCK ON THAT JETFANS.

How do they let fan boys become journalists?
I notice that Manish is insinuating that the Pats tampered with Revis last year when they signed him after Tampa released him.
Typical rodent defense. Just like in Tripgate, "the Pats do it too."
Tampering is Florio's pet project. He has been vocal about how the league looking the other way about tampering for years. Unfortunately only he and Tom Curran in the media actually think tampering is a bigger deal than people make it out to be.
The funny thing is he isn't a fan boy. He is a guy who pisses everyone off. The Jets fans hate him.
I was initially wondering why you are comparing a columnist (Mehta) who obviously loves his home team's FO, owner and coaches to Borges, who hates our FO, owner and coaches.
But then, your last line above - assuming you are referring to Mehta - will establish common ground, along with the fact that neither seem to be able to think clearly.
I disagree about Florio. It seems lately when this Jets controversy is discussed Florio is always sure to remind us that "tampering happens all the time." I've noticed this in the current and past articles. Fine, but then he preaches fire and brimstone from his pulpit when the Pats allegedly break a rule and don't you dare say the issue is petty or "everybody does it" because that is no excuse and this must be punished severely.
