Much more likely than Hardy, but still pretty remote.
Agreed. Not only do you have to factor in the child abuse, but also the huge cap hits PLUS the draft pick compensation to get him. He would have to be able to be acquired at a low value, restructure his deal, and act repentant to be considered here. I don't see it as very likely at all.

@RapSheet: CB Patrick Robinson will sign a 1-year deal with the #Chargers worth up to $3M, source said

San Diego has had a solid FA.

Patrick Robinson has been awful since drafted and you could say its a toss up between him and Fletcher they're the same kind of player.
Guys who do better in a zone then man undisciplined both in need of coaching and technique adjustments who could both be steals if they take the next step.
You can't say SD has had a solid free agency and say we've had crap if your comparing Fletcher and Robinson they are a wash both low risk high reward signings.
That being said I expect both to rise to the occasion.
Yes I like San Diego and will root for pretty much any team they play against when its not the Pats.
Beautiful city good coach what's not to like.

Oh San Diego... Scholars believe it to mean "A Whale's Vagina."

Bucs land Sterling Moore crazy to think he could be a 1 or 2 on the roster this year.
Always liked the kid, my wife is a Cowboy fan so I got to see him play quite a bit last season and he played very well.
O well what could of been.
Curious what the coin looks like.

.

No he wouldn't. He is not better than Butler or Ryan.

He got 1.5 from the Bucs I remember some on this board thought he would command 4 mill a season.
1 year maxed at 1.5 Mill would rather have him than the Atlanta kid.

The 2012 McClain YouTube highlights are crazy he hand fights and wins against Calvin, Larry, Demaryious, Jimmy Graham, tackles very well adjusts to a head fake on a route.
Why did he regress the last 2 seasons.
If we can get this version of McClain.
He may even push Arrington for the slot position.
Like everything I saw now granted its a highlight video but fighting against Calvin and Larry wow I'm actually impressed.
Why has nobody brought this up?

Yeah, the Patriots approach to team building is clearly better than the rest of the AFC East. Smart measured moves versus impulsive, big ticket spends.

Todays ...what?
Here is the shocker. The Pats have actually been one of the most prolific "signers" during this FA period with 9. This does not include re-signs or future contracts but does include trades and claims. Who would have thought?

No we all know there is some camp fodder involved but I guess we go quantity route.

Buffalo and Atlanta were up there as well.

@RapSheet: DL Ahtyba Rubin is signing with the Seattle #Seahawks, source says. Big upside

According to this report every team, ten of them, with more than $20 MILLION in CAP room except Green Bay, Tampa and the Falcons are in the AFC.

This implies that the AFC has an opportunity to get much better, in the next few years; but not that they will be smart enough to do so.

Yeah it's easy to be so far under the cap when you have a crappy QB.

Teams like NE and SEA are hugging the cap but with quality players because they aren't paying their QB's in the "elite" market, GB, DAL, BAL, etc. None of these teams will compete while paying their QB's because they lack the surrounding team talent.

SEA will soon fall to this.

NE will continue to be the most successful team, maybe ever, even after Brady is gone because our replacement won't be making money either. BB will continue to add talent at every position that is considered "mediocre", yet because EVERY position has that type of talent or better we'll continue to win.

From what I can tell, no QB has EVER won the superbowl with a cap hit higher than 15m, with Tom Brady being the highest ever at 14.8, which is a "low quality franchise QB" type salary.

Brady isn't going to get another big money contract at his age and considering his past, he probably wouldn't take market value either. Our replacement certainly won't be making 20m/yr right out of the gate. We're in a special territory.

Yup this is true. If Garrapolo can be as good as we hope let's say a top 8-12 QB he still wouldn't get a 20mill contract until 3-4years of playing.

Green Bay has competed just fine with its high price QB, just as New England and Indianapolis were competing when they had Brady and Manning on big money deals, and as Denver has competed with Manning on his big money deal there.
