Patriots 2015 Off-Seaon Free Agency Rumors

I've never played fantasy football but nice try.
Then you are an enigma because you are more concerned about statistics than winning.

I wonder if we're all done with Free Agency...

Ahtyba Rubin is still out there. I think he'd be a good fit. Charles Tillman would be at least worth an invite to training camp, IMO.

Would also love to see one of Crabtree, Bowe or Jennings get at least a look as well. I know some people here liked Stevie Johnson more, but one of these guys, if healthy, can be just as good of a #3 WR.

For whatever freakish reason Geno Smith plays great against us.
definitely wouldn't say great. They didn't put up many points in the second game.

The New England Patriots still need to replace the following players:

Wilfork, Vince (NT)
Connolly, Dan (OG)

Atyah is rumored (sic) to be visiting Seattle.
Wouldn't be surprised at a C
onnelly signing if he doesn't get Mathis.
DT OG & CB will receive more attention in the draft. I have no interest in more receivers, especially those over 30. Ditto for TE's.

Pats fans may not be happy with our CB situation but the good news is every QB in the NFL is.

People keep focusing so much on losing 1 guy out of the secondary.. I'm sure opposing QBS are not excited about having to deal with Jones, Hightower, Collins, Mayo, Ninko, Sheard and Easley.

That is a lot of talented guys on that front 7 that can get after the QB and cause mayhem. We can still be successful on defense using a zone scheme and being disruptive with our front 7.. people are acting like if your team doesn't have Darrel Revis then it's just a dumpster fire.. Revis has only been in the playoffs 3 times in a 9 year career... So that was 6 teams that had a Revis on it that didn't even go to the post season... he's the greatest CB in the league but CB is NOT the most important position on the defense, the game has been and always will be won and lost up front

That don't mean much, too often we've watched scrub qbs look like joe Montana against this defense in the past.

They'll probably get a lot of yards but once down in the redzone we have a very talented and fast defense.. scrub QBS will not be scoring TDs with any regularity against this defense.

Keenan Lewis restructured his contract with NO.

I'm not sure Wilfork will be replaced.
Last season it was Wilfork and Siliga with Branch backing them up and Jones and Easley playing in more obvious passing downs.
Wilfork played in all situations.
I think Siliga and Branch play early downs and do not play at all in passing downs with Jones, Easley or Sheard/ChandlerJones playing inside.
Vince is replaced by Branch on early downs and the others on passing downs.
We will no doubt add a big guy for depth, but I think those taking most of the snaps are already on the roster.

Time to focus on the draft....

Wrong again, care to keep trying?
Well that is what you communicated. Whining about how a QB played when we beat them as if there is something wrong with the strategy that won, clearly implies you are more worried about stats than winning. Surely when that is pointed out you will act as if you didn't mean that but this is the reality of that opinion you posted.

Actually I did respond. Nobody is crying about passing yards, it's frustrating win or lose watching crap qbs look like hall of fame players. But I get you and your type I really do, your the type of fan that will walk head on into traffic if BB told you it was good for you.

So winning isn't good enough, your complaining that they aren't winning games in the manner with which you want them to? Jeez man.. talk about a spoiled fan base.

Fans give BB the benefit of doubt because those fans understand that running a successful football program in the NFL is extremely difficult, something that 0% of people on this board would be able to even handle for even a week, nevermind for 15 years.

We also understand that in the history of the NFL, we happen to have a coach that will go down as arguably the greatest ever. He's got 6 Super Bowl rings, he's been to 8. He has the most playoff wins, highest winning percentage, most SB wins and is closing in on Shulas record of most wins ever. He's only missed the playoffs twice in 15 years with the Pats, and those 2 times he missed it they lost out in 2002 on a 3 way division tie breaker, and in 2008 missed it with a 11-5 record on a division tie breaker.

Belichick has created a dynasty of unprecedented sustained excellence in an era of the NFL that is designed to have teams go 8-8, and strip to pieces teams that win the SB via FA attrition and low draft picks.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Belichick knows what the hell he's doing, certainly more than you or I, or anyone else on this board. He has earned and commands the benefit of doubt on all things football related. Not you, not me, not anyone on this board could run an NFL team better than Bill Belichick on our best day..

I can understand the frustration in losing fan favorite player, but people need to get a grip.

Wrong again, go ahead try again Andy Johnson.

I gotta grip, a good tight one.

Additional $10.45M guaranteed. I guess that Twitter outburst was worth it.
