@caplannfl: The #Patriots and DE Rob Ninkovich have agreed to a contract adjustment increase, per league source.

What's a "contract adjustment increase"? A raise?

Interesting... I want numbers!

So we're giving him more money? Any chance that will decrease his cap hit?

An increase? I don't get why the team would do that.

Perhaps Ninko feels that he has outplayed the value of his contract and the Patriots gave him a raise to keep him happy.

If there is a guy who deserves a raise is Ninko, crucial sack on the SB. Fan favorite player, I want him to return a kick for a TD like Connoly almost did.

Thats what I'm thinking. Maybe they didn't like the $3.9m hit for 2015 and decided to convert some of his salary ($2.1m) and bonus $600k into a signing bonus + said $ and tack on a year to lower the cap $ for 2015?

Edelman must be pissed right now then.

Guy is heart and soul of that DLine now.....have no issues here and likely they might have dropped his cap hit to help the team whilst giving him substantial dollars he DESERVES

The pay raise is to coincide with the position change from "DE" to "DE/LS". Figuring an 850k to 1m increase.

Or maybe BB gave him a vet min increase to tell Spikes "Dangit, wish you got to us sooner, we just spent the leftover cash..."

Free initial consultation at the TB12 Sports Performance Clinic.
One taste of that avcado ice cream will lock him in for a membership for sure...YUK

Don't forget Gronk and LaFell too.
I'm not sure Gronk's contract needs sweetening. He took a long extension early that had good guaranteed money. It was a calculated risk by NE and Gronk seems honorable enough to let them reap the gains.

Need to adjust Mayo's, that will be next.

It's reliant on his health. He needs to pass a physical to agree to an adjusted deal we've learned.

Could potentially be waiting into the summer to hear from Mayo, speak of, have we heard any health updates? I don't recall any "ahead of schedule" news but no news usually isn't bad news either.
