It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. We'd all love Dobson, Tyms, Boyce, whoever, to be looking like a long term starter. But the HC, along with his coordinator and position coaches, see these guys every day. In the meeting room. On the practice field. In the locker room. And, as of now, appear to have made the determination that we don't want to go into next year without upgrading the position.
Dobson needs to make the team and get his ass on the field on week 1.

REJECTED (in my best Clyde Frazier voice)

Crabtree is a whiner and Bowe/Nicks/Wayne/Jennings are hasbeens.

If we want an upgraded WR3/depth, give me Rashad Greene in the draft at this point.

BB was in on A. Johnson, S. Johnson, and Hartline but couldn't close one of them. Sigh.

The way this offseason has gone we have seen alot a players spurn us is this the curse of Revis?

The way the reporting has been we will see Johnson has agreed to a 3 year contract here?
Lol you never know the reporting has been awful.

crabtree had 68 catches last year, not bad with that offense..don't want bowe/jennings

Andre Johnson was signing wherever Gore signed. I believe he/they admitted they were a package deal.

@RapSheet
Didn’t realize it then, but Gore & Andre Johnson considered themselves a package deal. When Gore went to #Colts, he knew Johnson would come

When was it reported they made offers to Andre Johnson and Brian Hartline? Johnson was never once linked to the Pats, that was all media driven guessing. Hartline there was supposedly interest but no-one knows to what extent.

Well this has been a very disappointing off season for the pats so far.

WEEI just reported he's a Charger.

As if offseasons weren't long enough. There will be a lot of chirping. Can't say it's all unwarranted. Sheard and Chandler were very good pick ups but we lost a number of contributors and failed to reel in a number of FA targets.

Goddammit. This has been a bad, very bad, no good offseason.

Hey, still Super Bowl champions though.

I get that he's from CA but it's sad that we're losing out to teams like San Diego, Cleveland and Detroit for guys we wanted. Will someone take the money of the Super Bowl Champions ?

We were linked to trading for him back to last year. There were 4-5 teams interested in him and considering we are off hunting for a mid level veteran WR, connect the dots. It's irrelevant anyway.

I've heard from other forums from guys who have done these type of taxes that when it comes down to it the tax rate isn't much of a relevant factor.[/QU
Possible. I hate taxes LOL.

Love Sheard and Chandler but I have to agree that this FA has been pretty lackluster (Newman, really?!).

Hopefully BB can pull something magical out of his hat.

We appear 2-4 at this point in FA:

1. Losing Walker to the Lions.
2. Losing Gachker to the Cowboys.
3. Losing Johnson to the Chargers.
4. Losing Revis to the Jets.
5. Beating the Ravens to Chandler.
6. Beating unknown teams to Sheard.

??? Bush to 49ers? (We supposedly didn't make him an offer)

EDIT: OOPS! 3-4. Beating the Eagles to McCourty.

Maybe he can sign the best FA safety on the market in Devin McCourty! :)

Well, I didn't really think we needed him, so I guess I'm not too upset we lost out on him. I guess I'm more concerned that the team thought we could use him and we didn't end up with him.

It has indeed. I would've have really liked Johnson but oh well. I am pretty disappointed that we failed to bring in an adequate replacement for Vereen. Draft? James White? I think it is pretty funny how people think he is the guy w/no basis for it.
