i want stevie here, but it's not the end of the world if he goes elsewhere.
I agree. We still have a very good offense, though I think we should have a good backup plan for a 3DRB and some improvements on the line. But another good weapon is always nice.

after spending winters in Buff, then SF..doubtful he chooses NE over SD..plus less targets...unless the $$$$ is better:)

I'm pretty sure not a single person has actually said this.

Of course not. That's just Ken being Ken. He actually forgets that the head coach himself seems to think we need another veteran WR.

What? Maybe you didn't pay attention to this McD retread:

Any form of possible competition for this hack is filling a need. Not to mention he is the closest thing to a suitable Gronk replacement we could realistically expect to sign.

Why is Hooman " a hack?"

Every team needs depth and role players, the fact that he's not really a starting caliber player doesn't mean he sucks and the fact that he capably filled a number of roles for them means he is anything but a "hack." It's not fantasy football, real teams need guys like Hooman.

@NBCdianna: Stevie Johnson will sign with Chargers per sources.

Damnit!

Not surprising, but disappointing nonetheless.

@NBCdianna: I'm told in the end, it was a tough decision for Johnson but it was about his family. #Chargers

It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. We'd all love Dobson, Tyms, Boyce, whoever, to be looking like a long term starter. But the HC, along with his coordinator and position coaches, see these guys every day. In the meeting room. On the practice field. In the locker room. And, as of now, appear to have made the determination that we don't want to go into next year without upgrading the position.

Being the defending champs doesn't get you what it used to...

Yea no real surprise here. All the late push talk confirmed he was leaning there
I knew that was going to happen as soon as he left here without signing. Crabtree the only decent option now.
