Does anyone think Vince has any shot at the Hall of Fame?

Career highlights and awards

Would obviously help if those Second-team All-Pro awards were first-team instead, since the Hall is typically reserved for the most dominating players and not the second tier. However, Vince also has two rings and was the cornerstone of a defense for one of the most successful teams in NFL history over his career.

Issues at ILB and Free Safety (also SS depending on your opinion of Swearinger), too.

that's good, because it is starting to look like the primary need of the Pats will be to score around 600 points next year

2 for 9 with 5 guaranteed

definitely maybe

@McClain_on_NFL: Vince Wilfork's two-year contract is worth $9 mil with $5 guaranteed.

What do we get for it? 6th round comp?

Good for Vince. Solid D that will benefit from his leadership and effort. The Vince of 7-8 years ago was a force to be reckoned with. While he can't be that guy on every play now, I am confident he can deliver some of what the Texans need. Isn't that a bit high though ? Especially when you look at the deals for Fairley and Knighton ?

Go stomp the Colts, big man

I feel there's a good possibility we will regret not trying to get a little closer to that number

at this point, signing the corners would have been a waste of money because teams won't have to throw it against us

Another land mark has moved on.
:(

Well its happened VW has moved on. Thank you Vince for the memories and all the great play. I'm so glad he went to houston instead of denver, indy, indy etc.

With that, Brady is the only remaining member of the Patriots 2004 championship team. I believe Stephen Gostowski is the second longest tenured player on the team, coming here in 2006, Slater is second, coming in 2008, and Edelman is third, coming here in 2009. Am I missing anyone? Maybe an offensive lineman?

The Pats are at the point where they've lost so many players, Wilfork doesn't actually add to it. Might get us a higher 6th round pick than Ayers would. He's the 6th qualifying FA they've lost (Revis, Browner, Vereen, Casillas, Ayers) and only one offsetting signing (Sheard); max any team can get is 4.

A class act on and off the field. He will be missed.

Good Luck Vince! Who knew it was you that kept the sky from falling?

I am very sad to see him go. He might not be the player he once was but seeing him in another uniform is very uncomfortable. One things for sure, our defense is going to look so different than the team that won six weeks ago !

My wife will not be happy. Her fav. Thnx Vincent. Sad day.
