Why would they be? It's not like they have trouble stopping the ru... oh, right.

Colts should just send a one-question application to all free agents:

Are you either a skill player or one-trick pass rusher who at one time was an NFL star and now on the downside of your career?

Corderelle was a thug/is a thug, and a Wonderlic idiot in college. BB traded the pick for him to the Vikes. He knew better and the Vikes should have too.

But all they saw was his workout numbers. Just like this year''s loser from Missouri via Oklahoma. It's not hard to predict another loser.

I wouldn't want Corderelle on this team, but only because he doesnt run routes precisely enough. He appears to work hard and be a model citizen in MN. He has caused no problems there despite a bad year and getting overtaken by other receivers. There's no reason to believe he's a thug.

I'm just itching for some Stevie Johnson news. Cmon!

Wow, do I have super powers?

This week - hopefully Keenan Lewis, Pierre Thomas and Stevie Johnson

Keenan Lewis was never on the trading block. He made a statement on twitter suggesting that he wanted to see more guaranteed money, and within 24 hrs the Saints agreed to work something out.

That seemed to satisfy him and he changed his tune immediately. As pointed out by other posters, it wouldnt make sense for the Saints to trade him, cap-wise.

It seems likely that the Keenan Lewis boat never pulled out of port. It'll be interesting to see what the Patriots do at CB. It's either a stop gap or another draft pick.

Couldn't even imagine VW in a Rats uniform. It would be like Bird wearing Lakers gold.
No, it wouldn't. Lakers may have been hated, but they were a respected rival. The Jets are neither respected or considered a rival. They are the red-headed step-child of the largest, most fickle sports market in the country.

Wouldn't mind Newman as a super-cheap stopgap.

I have bad memories of Shawn Springs. Maybe for a 1-year, vet minimum deal, but really Terrance Newman?

I'd rather go with a 1st round rookie that you are developing and coaching than a 37 year old who probably won't figure out your defense before you cut him or his arthritis acts up.

If he would be on the final roster our average team age would move up exponentially.

Newman would be okay as a short term stopgap while the youth is developed. I would have preferred Rashean Mathis but Newman would be fine as long as he was coming pretty cheap. I've had concerns with having a CB group full of guys on rookie deals, so Newman could bring some veteran experience to the group to help out.

I would be surprised if they didn't sign at least one other CB on a cheap deal though. Maybe Tillman?

Newman? Yeesh. A little on the old side. At least bring in a guy like Tillman if we're gonna go old.

If you plan to draft some rookie corners I guess it is good to have a big veteran presence in the room. None of our current corners can be considered a veteran. If anything I wonder if with the interest in Newman BB just tipped the hand in terms of our plans for the draft. I smell a double dip coming..
