Wrecks yapping again

seems like some here are about obsessed with the jets(and or rex) as rex is with the pats..lol

There's nothing wrong with what Ryan reportedly said.

Of course you wouldn't think so, you been waving that flag since about 8pm Tuesday. But if BB came out and said something similar you would make a thread saying he's lost his mind and say how it is only March.

Someone needs to drug test Belichick immediately.

Sorry tune, but this doesn't sound like the fog horn leg horn version of rexy from the jest.

"I think the conference really got stronger. If anything, it currently doesn’t look – if you can say winners and losers in free agency – obviously New England had to cut quite a few players. So obviously they don’t look as strong as they did. I certainly hope they’re not. They just got through winning the Super Bowl. But I believe the rest of the division really has got stronger. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that. I truly believe that we got stronger.”

The problem is that he's factually incorrect. The Pats didn't CUT anyone. They chose not to pick up team options on players. And it's not a difference of semantics. It's a huge difference when it comes to compensatory picks.

Now, as for the Bills getting stronger. Maybe on paper they have. The tandem of Fred Jackson and Lesean McCoy is going to be hell.. Personally, I hope that Rexy cuts Jackson and the Pats sign him as their 3rd down back.. The Jets also added Harvin, but I'm not sold on him.. He's relatively nothing the last two years. I think that people are down-playing the losses of Alonso, Spikes, and Rivers. I don't consider it an improvement for them to keep Hughes.. Their O-line took a hit with the loss of Pears..

We hear every year that teams within our division are catching up with us. It never really materializes during the season.

Some people never learn.

Arnold Schwarzenegger should ask our competition "Who is your daddy and what does he do?" The answer would be, "the NE Patriots are your daddy and what they do is just win."

The obsession with the Jets goes way beyond a division rivalry, and is built on a very rich history: http://www.si.com/nfl/2014/10/15/bill-parcells-excerpt-bill-belichick-new-york-jets

Throw Eric "Fredo" Mangini and Spygate and Mike Kensil and Deflategate into the mix. http://dailycaller.com/2015/01/26/d...ut-how-deflated-pats-balls-really-were-video/

Darrelle Revis' success as a Patriot and recent defection into enemy territory combined with Rex Ryan's move from the Jets to the Bills serves to add a couple of chapters that still have to be written. Rex served to stir the pot, mostly by being a worthy rival on the field and by delivering some memorable wins and losses.

The Jets-Patriots rivalry has all the skulduggery and intrigue of House of Cards, and is worthy of extra attention, or obsession, if that's how some view it.

the point is This does Not sound like the loud mouth blow hard from we heard in his early days with the jest that guarantied victories over the pats and Super Bowl wins. the guy who wasn't here to kiss BBs rings. he says non of that type of stuff in this interview or what ever it was.

You know the old saying: "Everything is set four days into free agency."

I like Rex.

I'd have him over for a BBQ anytime.

I also like Rex...it's funny how everyone gets so riled up about him. The funny thing is he probably praises/respects the Patriots as much as anyone outside the organization.

Some folks around here have incredibly short memories.

I like reading all the posts pointing out how obsessed he is with the pats, and how nothing ever changes with Rex.

It helps to weed out those who actually read articles and form their own opinions on them as opposed to people who fall for headlines.

My last memory is Rex is walking down a corridor shooting the breeze with BB.

I would be more worried if Rex had said something like, "We've added a few good players and the Patriots have lost Revis, but the gap in quality between us and them is too big to be closed in a season."

I wanted to be mad, but the quote doesn't sound so bad, honestly. Feels more like the media twisting his words a bit... I can't fault him for saying the entire division has gotten stronger, because it has.
The BEST reply on the topic is right here Ian....close the discussion topic! In REALITY with the acquisitions already MADE....you have to IMAGINE that the doofins and Bills have improved THUS FAR....and the CHAMPION NE PATRIOTS have had to part ways with SEVERAL GREAT players....so that the noose is tightening on the Pats....I don't see it....LETS GO PATS!!!!!

Until the Bills figure out who the **** their QB is supposed to be, I'm not convinced that they've closed the gap on anyone.

From where I'm standing, it looks like they've just gone and guaranteed way too much money to a couple of players and consider themselves improved. I don't really see it. They still haven't addressed their actual problems in any meaningful way.

I love Rex. Such an awesome nemesis to BB. Makes the AFC East that more interesting.
