Patriots 2015 Off-Seaon Free Agency Rumors

I don't think Stevie qualifies as "big."

I also think you're being played, but I hope there's some there there.

He's talking about a different rumored player/trade with concerns to the "big" and updated "soon".

Most likely being played, but it is a rumors thread so I'll pass it along. He had the Pats interest in Stevie before anyone else and seems confident we'll sign him, so we'll know if this guy is full of it after Monday.

As for Vince easy to see why those are his 3 choices

Houston- RAC (Rookie year was with Romeo)
Baltimore- Pees (4 years playing under Pees as the DC)
Indy- Gore and Johnson recruiting him.

I assume that there is one other team in the running - New England Patriots

Big Vince can't do that to us. INDY? BALTIMORE? He may as well piss in Kraft's cheerios.

The Patriots released Vince, I don't want him in the AFC but I won't begrudge him signing anywhere.

He updates this rumor by saying "soon"

He had Stevie interest before anyone else, so worth keeping an eye on.
This guy is doing this for tweets, he doesn't know ****. If he did, it would make him look that much more reliable if he named names, instead of playing with people. This is like pure TV gold that sends you to a commercial at a crucial time so it makes SURE you come back. He doesn't know anything, he's full of ****.

@RapSheet: The #Cowboys gave former #Chargers ILB Andrew Gachkar a 2-year deal worth up to $5.5M, source says. Rolando McClain insurance?

Interesting that we are even entertaining LBs (McCarthy and now Gachkar)

Hmmm...

I think we're only showing interest in LBs to replace Casillas or for ST help.

This will probably amount to nothing but I'll continue to play along for fun, as it has been a slow news day. His latest post says that Johnson is one of the players that he is talking about but that there is another player (free agent, not a trade) who is currently in Foxboro but hasn't officially signed. I assume that Johnson isn't the "big signing" (Shorts and Pierre Thomas also don't qualify as "big") so only the following free agents would seem to qualify as "big":

1. Hardy (seems very unlikely given off the field issues)
2. Clay (could they have been lurking this whole time? seems unlikely given addition of Chandler)
3. Damon Harrison (stealing young stud from Jets DL)

Vince Wilfork would really be BIG.

Naming names is how you get blacklisted.

This would be a great signing, but let's remember that the NYJ have the opportunity to match any offers that he may get.

It would also cost us a 2nd round pick. While I'm all for making an offer to Harrison, I'm not sure that it's very realistic.

I'd give up a late 2nd for him.

For what it's worth Keenan Allen seems to have worked things out with N. Orleans, and now wants to stay, so I'm guessing that we can put that rumor to rest once and for all.

It's going to take a 2nd round pick and an offer that the Jets couldn't afford--so good luck with that one.

In terms of parting with 2nd round picks for big contracts, one would think Belichick could do a lot better via a trade.

Keenan Allen plays for the chargers. You mean Keenan Lewis?
