The League Investigating the Jets for tampering this past week

The jets already tampered in the open. It's on record. Anyone can listen to it. You can't tamper and say "oops. I didn't mean to". If the league doesn't punish them then the it has lost all credibility

Bingo.

Personally I think all tampered contracts should be voided. Punishment should fit the crime.

Why would they care? They got who they wanted. They sent a message already. If you tamper you can get what you want. So what if u pay a small fine. It's cheaper to go get a signed player than an RFA.

Parties found guilty of tampering are forced to pay for the Players contract and the Player in question is returned back to the original team.

No more tampering. :)

Could you imagine the Jets losing or having to swap one of their first 3 picks (hopefully 1st pick) this year, with the pats, then losing their third pick next year to the pats (compensatory pick ), Jets fan would lose it.

That's not how compensatory picks work. They don't lose any pick, but we gain a pick at the end of the round.

Tampering gate! I am really surprised no one said it so far.

So, here I am, wondering at times in the past how I would feel if my team had been on the other end of "wrongdoing" as other fans claim they've been at the hands of the Patriots.

And just like I thought, I really don't give a damn. I hope we get something in return, but to think all teams aren't extremely sketchy, or to think Revis wouldn't have become a FA anyway, is naive.

No desire to yell and scream and dig up conspiracy theories and make petitions to the NFL league office to take away accomplishments, or suspend players, or put asterisks, etc etc.

I do wonder if Spygate/Deflategate whiners are generally the types of people who are unsuccessful in life and looking to make excuses.

If the Rats are found guilty the punishment also needs to consider collateral damage when determining compensation. The Pats would have retained Browner if they had kept Revis.

Tampering doesn't particularly bother me as I assume all teams do it to some length. That said, as recompense for the ridiculous Cameragate punishment, Tampergate allegations questioning Tom Brady's integrity and the fact that it's the Jets, pick 6 will do just fine.

I hope justice does get served but with this league and how it rewards losers and punishes success (draft setup, cap ramifications for SB Winners in the following FA period, turning a blind eye to real cheating all while scrutinizing/demonizing our teams infractions)........

We deserve at the least a swap of 1st rounders OR their 2nd rounder straight up......and love the suggested notion of voiding tampered contracts forcing the offending team to pay the terms while said player returns to prior team:)

......I think I'll sh*t in one hand and wish in another and see what fills first....to quote Thornton:D

Player should be also suspended for the season.

Its good enough for the ncaa.

lol good one.

As if the league actually had any credibility left over.

Thanks for the laugh.
