Exactly my line of thinking, shmessy.I could be very happy with a WR set of Edelman, Lafell, Amendola, Dobson and Wright. If Gibson can beat out Dobson in TC, the job is his.
Supplemented with a TE duo of Gronk and Chandler.
What is great about Wright is that he can give the Pats roster flexibility to save a spot in that he could play either WR or TE. For $585,000 that's a steal.
Why are people saying the who man is in trouble? Hes a blocking tight end, wright and Chandler dont block. But they could essentially count as an extra wide out. That could be how both make the roster.

That leaves gronk as the only blocking tight end....if the who gets replaced it won't be because of chandler or wright unless they learn to block. I do think all 4 can make the roster tho. It was disappointing wright couldn't build off the Bengals game but he had no time to learn an extremely tough playbook. Not everyone is Danny Woodhead, so we'll see.Let Hooman walk and keep Wright. Wright is good Dobson insurance if the tall one doesn't get healthy.
Plus Wright is super cheap to the cap.

Bills posters have nothing nice to say about his blocking. He's gone they think because Buffalo wants better blocking tight ends.Chandler doesn't block?
does he? My apologizes i could have sworn i had heard from others who watch him more he didnt. Would be dope to have 3 receiving threats at tight end.No.
Chandler blocks very well. And he is 6'7" 265.
Trade Wright to the Saints as a Jimmy Graham replacement (I'm not comparing them).
